Dick Armey runs something called freedomwatch or some teaparty org. Apparently its 'no secret'.

Dont mean to distract, but...it may have ramifications.

Anyone else look into this issue? I think the teaparty has some very basic issues and one of them is to defeat leftist RHINO Candidates like McCain!

The Tea Parties were started by bloggers, then hijacked by neocons. I've been following as it developed - the article below gives a decent summary.

They started out as non-partisan protests against big government spending. Armey et al turned them into GOP Obama hate fests.

The Democrats turned the anti-war vote into Obama voters by subtly turning the movement into anti-Bush sentiment. There's no doubt in my mind that the GOP intends to do the same with the tea party protesters.

I belong to the Tea Party Patriots and this is the letter I got explaining the situation with the Tea Party Express that went accross the country..yes some of the Tea Partys are being hijacked by Rebup. party members. for thier own gain so you need to beware of who is running and what they stand for..

Tea Party Patriots Corrections, Clarifications, and Contract from America

In the email from day before yesterday, there were several questions and 1 correction to be addressed.

Correction

Clarification 1 - Not Evil Just Wrong
The world premiere of Not Evil Just Wrong will happen because of people like you. Everyday Americans who purchase the DVD and host the showing of the documentary in your home or at a local gathering place on Sunday night at 8:00 pm eastern. Several people have emailed to indicate they have had trouble with the website. This week the website has been overwhelmed by the traffic. Please continue to try to go to the website and order the DVD.

Clarification 2 - Operation Can You Hear Us Now
While Tea Party Patriots National Organization is not an official sponsoring organization for Operation Can You Hear Us Now, we know that many local Tea Party Organizations around the country are participating in this protest locally. In fact, many of those events are listed on TPP's website. Since Tea Party Patriots is a grassroots organization, we trust our members to make plans and decisions for protests that work best for their local area. As you may know, Tea Party Patriots has launched a new project called Contract FROM America. Instead of being created by politicians, this contract will originate FROM We, the People. People from around the country are currently submitting ideas related to our core values, which are then put up on the website to be commented upon and ranked by other visitors to the site. After a period of months a committee will evaluate the planks which that have the highest rankings and present a final ballot to be voted upon by the general membership of www.contractfromamerica.com. The final contract will then be announced and offered to candidates for elected office in 2010. Candidates will then be able to sign the contract to to show their support for a specific agenda with the goal of nationalizing the 2010 election around a core set of ideas, in line with tea party movement core values. With your help the Contract FROM America will define the philosophical ground on which the 2010 election is fought.

I am writing you today to ask you to officially become part of the coalition of groups which stands shoulder to shoulder with the Contract FROM America. To do so, all you need to do is to send an email to contractcoalition@gmail.com with the official name of your organization and your contact information as organizer for confirmation purposes. PriceWaterhouseCooper released an independent study of the Senate Finance Committee version of the government takeover of health care bill. The study showed that American family's budgets will be severely impacted by the bill and that health insurance premiums will increase dramatically. Im not sure what happened to the 'can you hear us now' media protest, but I thought it was a bit early and short noticed to have any effect.

The danger here is that the 'hijackers' throw lots of little stuff out there to DIFFUSE the movement.

This is still up in the air.

It really needs to be kept decentralized.

Working with local 'teaparty' committes is going to get political real quick.


Everyone needs a break from this, for Spring of next year.
