The White House Is Starting To Take Obama Impeachment Threats Seriously

July 25, 2014 by Sam Rolley

The White House on Friday said that it is taking Republican threats to impeach President Barack Obama seriously. White House Senior Advisor Dan Pfeiffer said that the threat of Obama impeachment would increase if the President takes executive actions to keep illegal aliens in the country.
“The President acting on immigration reform will certainly up the likelihood that [Republicans] would contemplate impeachment at some point,” Pfeiffer told attendees of a breakfast forum hosted by The Christian Science Monitor.
Obama’s longtime advisor also told the audience that the days of the Administration laughing off impeachment talks have ended, with the President’s dismal polling numbers and a lawsuit against Obama promised by House Speaker John Boehner.
Polling data out this week from CNN/ORC reveals that 33 percent of Americans support the idea of impeaching the President and 41 percent said that the House GOP should move forward with a lawsuit against Obama.
But, according to The Monitor, Boehner denied that his suit was designed to set the wheels of impeachment in motion.
“This is a fundraising exercise for Democrats,” Boehner spokesman Michael Steel told the outlet. “It is telling, and sad, that a senior White House official is focused on political games, rather than helping these kids and securing the border.”
Other establishment Republicans like Senator John McCain (Ariz.) have also denied that impeaching the President is a viable plan.
“Well, I don’t agree and I remember going through an impeachment of William Jefferson Clinton,” McCain said earlier this month when former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin called for impeachment. “There are not the votes here in the United States Senate to impeach the president of the United States and I think that we should focus our attention on winning elections. We win this election and we regain control of the United States Senate we can be far more effective than an effort to impeach the president, which has no chance of succeeding.”
Other Republicans, however, have said that the President’s actions in dealing the Nation’s immigration problem could open the door to impeachment proceedings.
“He either enforces the laws on the books—as he was hired and elected to do—or he leaves. Congress no option. This is not our choice, this is the President’s choice and I would advise him to uphold the law on the books,” Representative Ted Yoho (R-FL) said in a recent statement.

New poll shows one third of Americans support the impeachment of Obama

    Friday, Jul 25, 2014 at 1:05 PM -0400
    Video at the page Link:

A new CNN/ORC International poll shows one third of Americans believe President Obama should be impeached and removed from office. That figure includes 57% of Republicans, 35% of independents, and 13% of Democrats. On radio this morning, Glenn reacted to the new poll numbers.
The CNN/ORC poll was conducted between July 18 and July 20. The poll asked telephone respondents: “Based on what you have read or heard, do you believe that President Obama should be impeached and removed from office, or don’t you feel that way?” The results showed:
    Should be impeached 33%
    Don’t feel that way 65%
    No opinion 1%
While 33% is by no means a plurality, Glenn found the partisan breakdown, which included 13% of Democrats supporting impeachment, to be interesting.
“Can you look up the polls on where the Democrats were on the impeachment of Bill Clinton? That didn’t work because the longer that went on, the more people got tired of the Monica Lewinsky thing,” Glenn said. “This is actually gathering steam because the more things he does against the Constitution that, you know, people who understand the Constitution and understand separation of powers understand that any president that is doing what this guy should be doing should be impeached.”
Glenn believes the Democrats who support impeachment understand it doesn’t necessarily mean the president is removed from office, instead it is an investigation and trial surrounding any wrongdoing.
“There should be a trial on this, not necessarily removed from office. That’s the verdict,” Glenn explained. “‘Do you impeach him?’ That means do you have a trial in the Senate, and see if what he’s doing is right or wrong. I know an investigation is never going to happen because there’s too many weasels, too many people that don’t care about the Constitution, and the American people don’t know the Constitution.”
The general lack of knowledge about the Constitution was evident in the response to survey question 41, which asked: “In general, do you think Congress should attempt to impeach a President in order to express dissatisfaction with his policies or the way the president is handling his job, or do you think Congress should attempt impeachment only if there is evidence that the president has committed a very serious crime such as treason, bribery or other high crimes and misdemeanors?”
    Express dissatisfaction 18%
    Only serious crimes 79%
    Never impeach (vol.) 1%
    No opinion 2%
“The Constitution calls for high crimes and misdemeanors. That’s what it is,” Pat said of impeachment. “Not treason or bribery, but high crimes and misdemeanors.”
“So in other words. If you want to abide by the Constitution, then it’s high crimes or misdemeanors,” Glenn concluded. “A plurality of Americans, 45%, believe Obama has gone too far in expanding his power. 30% said the President has been right in the terms of presidential powers. 22% said he hasn’t gone far enough. 22% of Americans think he hasn’t gone far enough! What kind of all-powerful president do you want? Don’t answer that question, please.”

Congressman at border: 'Obama begging to be impeached'

Witnesses shocking procedures for handling illegal immigrants

    Published: 5 hours ago

    Jerome R. Corsi
Jerome R. Corsi, a Harvard Ph.D., is a WND senior staff reporter. He has authored many books, including No. 1 N.Y. Times best-sellers "The Obama Nation" and "Unfit for Command." Corsi's latest book is "Who Really Killed Kennedy?"

    U.S.-Mexico border

McALLEN, Texas – Observing what he could only describe as “chaos on the border” during a midnight tour of the Rio Grande on Friday, Rep. Steve Stockman, R-Texas, concluded, “President Obama is begging to be impeached.”
“For all I know, Obama is preparing to process five million illegal immigrant kids and teenagers into the United States,” Stockman said upon observing border operations near McAllen, Texas.
“He wants us to impeach him now,” Stockman theorized, “before the midterm election because his senior advisors believe that is the only chance the Democratic Party has to avoid a major electoral defeat. Evidently Obama believes impeachment could motivate the Democratic Party base to come out and vote.”
Sign the petition demanding Congress follow through on impeaching Obama.
Accompanied by a WND film crew, Stockman began the evening by stopping at a massive Department of Homeland Security detention facility a mile or two north of the Mexican border, only to be encountered by seven or eight armed Border Patrol agents who approached Stockman and WND for questioning.
Though polite, a Border Patrol supervisor speaking from behind the chain-link fence that surrounded the facility refused to allow Stockman to tour the facility.
Through the chain-linked fence, the WND film crew took video of an active hanger-like open building cooled by two massive fans in which teenage illegal immigrants were being searched for concealed weapons as they were being processed into the detention facility.
Within minutes, as Stockman began asking questions of the Border Patrol supervisor, the hanger-like intake facility was shut down and emptied of illegal immigrant teenagers being processed by more than a dozen Border Patrol agents.
“We release all detainees under 14 years of age without taking any biometric identification, including no fingerprints,” the Border Patrol agent explained to Stockman. “We are prevented by law from taking fingerprints or other biometric information on these kids.”
The Border Patrol supervisor could not identify for Stockman the law in question.
“Then how do you know who these children under 14 years old are?” Stockman asked. “How do you know if you are releasing these kids to people who are truly family members in the United States or to pedophiles or other criminals posing as family members?”
“We only know who these children are by what they tell us,” the Border Patrol supervisor admitted. “Truthfully, we don’t really have any idea who they might be or where they came from other than what we can observe from questioning them. You’re right. If they give us false information, we have no way to know it or to follow it up without biometrics.”
Stockman asked what information the Border Patrol has on the people in the United States who claim to be relatives.
“That’s not what our department handles,” the Border Patrol supervisor again admitted.
    Rep. Steve Stockman, R-Texas

Back in the vehicle, frustrated at seeing the facility going into rapid shutdown mode once he and the WND film crew set up to film, Stockman expanded on the impeachment theme.
Stockman observed that rather than begin impeachment proceedings now, what the House of Representatives should do is to take away money from the Obama administration.
“The only way we’re going to stop Obama from opening the border is to take away the money he needs to operate,” Stockman concluded. “What we should do is shut down the White House.”
The definitive case for removing Barack Obama from office is presented in “Impeachable Offenses” by Aaron Klein and Brenda J. Elliott.
In a four-hour tour of McAllen roads leading to the Rio Grande that began at midnight, WND observed dozens of Border Patrol lock-up vehicles, with one marked “LICE” in large hand-written letters, were transporting illegal immigrant detainees to destinations unknown to WND.
Every time WND’s vehicle approached the Rio Grande, Border Patrol trailed behind to engage in questioning once WND and Rep. Stockman stopped.
“Be careful, it’s a busy night out here,” one Border Patrol agent advised.
In another stop about a mile north of the border, WND observed a Border Patrol vehicle with an agent manning what appeared to be a 10-foot antenna scanning the surrounding open territory.
“It’s taking high-definition night-vision photographs,” the Border Patrol agent explained, as he dodged into the shadows to avoid being filmed in the bright lights of the WND film crew.
In a night where Stockman described law enforcement presence on the McAllen border as “heavily active and in plain view,” Stockman and WND observed several Department of Public Safety state troopers patrolling the border in conjunction with the ever present white-and-green-marked Border Patrol vehicles.
On Friday, Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minnesota, explained to WND in a cell-phone call from the airport that she and Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa, are planning to join Stockman at the border in McAllen, Texas, arriving at noon Saturday.

Is this sword double edged? The action might motivate him to self-evaluate and slow him down. The other edge is it may spur him into full throttle, doing what is naughtier than normal for him. I would love a conviction, but how quickly can they get it done?

The they may only a threat to be a subliminal message. Sure had my mail box full last nite, from both sides

Impeachment is too good for him. His punishment should be far more substantial.

DEVELOPING: Top Military Leaders Are in an Unprecedented Rebellion Against Obama

Posted on Sunday, July 27th, 2014 at 2:46 am.
    by: Conservative Infidel

Conservative Tribune Every American officer, regardless of branch of service, take the same oath upon their appointment to the military. They swear to “support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic.”
The language used is not dissimilar to that of the presidential oath of office as it appears in Article II of the Constitution: “I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States.”
The American oaths of office are different from those of so many nations around the world, because we do not swear allegiance to a person, a religious sect, or even to the nation’s citizens. America’s leaders swear to uphold the Constitution, the document in which the individual freedoms that make America unique among all nations in history are enshrined and guaranteed.
It should come as no surprise, then, that when long-service American military officers see the principles of the Constitutional repeatedly violated, disregarded, and even held in contempt, they take offense.
Retired officers, of course, have more freedom to express their views without concern for the impact such honesty might have on their careers. For example, Air Force Major General Bentley Rayburn and four-star Army General Jack Keane have both spoken out against Obama’s treatment of Islamic terrorists, including his trade of several Guantanamo Bay detainees for accused deserter Bowe Bergdahl. Retired Lieutenant General William G. “Jerry” Boykin has gone so far as to call for Obama’s impeachment, as has General Patrick Henry Brady.
Retired U.S. Army Major General Paul E. Vallely has publicly argued that America’s current leadership has so damaged individual American liberty that it can be restored only by citizen protests to force the resignations of President Obama and other political leaders. The general has also recently been working to uncover the truth about the Benghazi attacks of 2012, which he says involved an illegal arms deal by Hillary Clinton’s State Department. General Vallely and retired Air Force Brigadier General Charles Jones have formed a “citizen’s council” to challenge the government more directly.
More recently–and more remarkably–active duty officers have been giving vent to their frustrations and concerns about the current administration. Active-duty 4-star Marine General and US Southern Command Commander John Kelly has commented on the grave threat to America’s existence that the current border crisis represents. Even more remarkable, the Commandant of the Marine Corp himself, General James Amos, recently made comments highly critical of the Obama administration’s leadership and policy in Iraq.
That’s quite a list, and it’s far from complete. Nor does it include the numerous other senior officers who retired at the rank of Colonel or Lieutenant Colonel who have also spoken out against this president, his administration, and his policies.
When a politician or even a journalist makes negative comments about the leadership and practices of a sitting president, it is wise to take those with a grain of salt, asking what the motive of the speaker might be.
In the case of these retired and active-duty senior military officers, however, their motive appears to be clear–the fulfillment of the oath they swore to support and defend the Constitution of the United States of America.

London Telegraph on Obama's Absence: He's "Sleepwalking Perfunctorily... amid Golf Rounds & Dinner Parties"

Obama has “checked out.” Or rather, his administration and the folks that run his show have.
The president’s completely ridiculous, inappropriate behavior after the MH17 plane was shot down should’ve tipped even the casual viewer that something is a tad amiss here in good ‘ol U.S.A.
That day, reports that an official in the Ukrainian government had announced that 23 Americans were killed in the crash flooded the media. They were unsubstantiated reports later found to be incorrect, but they happened nonetheless.
Every outlet from Reuters on down ran with that information. Countless journalists Tweeted about it. In a late night moment of amazement at Obama’s response to this news, I made this video:

The day after MH17 happened, I wrote, “Want more proof we’re living in The Matrix, America? Check out our president. The guy can’t even muster up the effort to pretend anymore.”
It started when he spoke for only about 40 seconds on the matter, saying, “And it looks like it may be a terrible tragedy.” Most people would agree that 300 people who were just minding their own business riding a plane from one country to another being murdered is spot on for the definition of “terrible tragedy”. He went from that right into jokes. As Red State reported, “In fact, it was so lacking in taste that even Piers Morgan noticed it was lacking in taste,” posting Morgan’s Tweet about the jarring transition from “may be a tragedy” to cracking lame jokes in literally no time.
Then the president (or rather, his handlers) didn’t even bother to reschedule his completely unrelated burger photo op.
Not just a burger. Not Obama was hungry because that’s normal so he went to grab a bite to eat.
No — a burger photo op. A burger photo op he went to despite how, at the very least, tacky that is and looks not only to the citizens of America but to the rest of the world and despite the fact that when he was in Texas after the border crisis hit the news, he refused to actually go to the border himself because he claimed he wasn’t interested in photo ops.
And that’s not all; the day the mainstream media was reporting 23 Americans perished among the 300 dead on flight MH17, Obama followed up his non-related burger photo op — just as he did when our Ambassador in Libya and three other Americans were killed by terrorists — with yet another fundraiser.
He already won reelection, by the way. What is he raising all those funds for? Doesn’t he have anything better to do, you know, as president?
Well, a little over a week later, and The London Telegraph apparently agrees Obama is a bit absent as far as presidents go with it’s new article, “Barack Obama has already checked out of his job,” subhead, “The degree to which Barack Obama is now phoning it in – sleepwalking perfunctorily through his second term, amid golf rounds and dinner parties – is astonishing.”

    The article continued:
And based on his recent handling of situations much more serious than a possible post-presidential move to sunny California, it seems as if “No Drama Obama” is no longer even worried about keeping up appearances; he doesn’t care enough to fake it.
Consider this: In recent days, a) Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 was shot down, apparently by Russian separatists in Ukraine, b) In the Gaza strip, the numbers killed continued to mount as Israelis and Palestinians exchange rocket fire, c) a huge influx of children fleeing Central American poverty and gang warfare swamped America’s southern border, creating a humanitarian crisis. And, oh yeah, d) Christians living in Mosul were given the choice to either convert to Islam or flee the area they have inhabited for nearly two thousand years.
You know what else has happened during this time? a) Obama played many rounds of golf, b) he attended numerous fund-raisers, c) he dined on barbecue in Texas and burgers in Delaware, and d) he almost appeared on the comedian Jimmy Kimmel’s late-night television show in Hollywood.
    …and finished up with:
If Nero fiddled while Rome burned, then Obama is dining out, golfing, and raising money while the world collapses.
    Uh…yeah. Basically.
Most of us get it by now — the handlers pick and choose what tragedies the president (and that goes for any president we’ve had for decades now) is going to get visibly upset about and spend time and energy on if it will serve a particular agenda to be milked for all it is politically worth…but geez.
It’s just become so glaringly obvious at this point that Obama is gone, that even mainstream outlets can’t muster up the energy to pretend he’s still here anymore.
    How sad is that?

Biden, Pelosi, and others are pleading to build a 2 million dollar impeachment defense fund. That would indicate a fight that could take a lot of time.

Obama Golfs with ESPN Hosts as US Evacuates Embassy in Libya

by Breitbart News 26 Jul 2014 629 post a comment

On Saturday, hours after the U.S. embassy in Libya was being evacuated and a day after meeting with Central American presidents to address the border crisis, President Barack Obama golfed with ESPN "Pardon the Interruption" hosts Mike Wilbon and Tony Kornheiser at Congressional Golf Club in Bethesda, Maryland.

Obama has golfed with Messrs. Wilbon and Kornheiser in recent outings, and this is reportedly his first round at the exclusive golf course.
This week, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin said that Obama golfs and fundraises during crises because he knows he is "in over his head" as the country's chief executive.
Obama aide Marvin Nicholson, a frequent companion, rounded out the foursome.
