    Ensign's Amendment Tabled In Committee

    Lou Dobb's just reported that Ensign's amendment to deny rebates for illegal aliens was tabled in committee which means it will probably not even reach the Senate floor. Anyone got any other info on this?

    When the bill hits the Senate floor, another amendment (copy of the same one) can be added to the bill.

    That's why the bill didn't come up for vote tonight, they are "trying to reach an agreement" as Reid like to call partison fighting.

    The way Casey Wian was talking, it's dead. He said there was very little talk about the amendment before it was tabled, so we better hope another version is brought up on the floor.

    That's what I heard, too...Tiny. Wian said Ensign and Grassley were outraged but the Finance Committee didn't even want to discuss it...and just tabled it. I hope it isn't overshadowed by the debates and all the primary stuff
