EXCLUSIVE: Liens Filed Against Dem Senator Jeanne Shaheen and Her Husband For Failure To Pay Creditors

Towns in New Hampshire and Maine placed 21 different liens against properties owned by Democratic Senate candidate Jeanne Shaheen’s husband, who manages the couple’s real estate business, according to local property records obtained exclusively by The Daily Caller.
People owed money by the Shaheens, therefore, successfully compelled local governments on 21 occasions to issue liens against properties owned by the couple in order to get their money back from insurance companies before the Shaheens could profit further.

Senator Jeanne Shaheen, a former governor and pro-IRS targeting advocate running for re-election to the U.S. Senate against Scott Brown, and her lawyer husband William “Bill” Shaheen, a principal at the firm Shaheen & Gordon, file taxes jointly. The couple, married since 1972, has between $3.7 million and $7.9 million in assets and between $2 million and $4.2 million in liabilities.

The Shaheen campaign has said that the couple lists its real estate investments under William’s name because he manages the real estate investing side of their personal business. But the municipality of York, Maine also issued a lien against “Cynthia Shaheen” (the senator’s first name – “Jeanne” is her middle name) alongside her husband.

Shaheen listed 10 different mortgages as liabilities on her 2013 financial disclosure. All of the mortgages were incurred since 2010, since Shaheen has been in the U.S. Senate. Shaheen’s “Spouse” was listed as the debtor on eight of the mortgages. Shaheen herself was listed as the debtor on one mortgage from Ohio’s First Place Bank worth between $250,0001 and $500,000. The Shaheens also jointly hold one mortgage from Washington, D.C.’s National Capital Bank for between $250,001 and $500,000.

Liens issued against Bill Shaheen, his company Shaheen Enterprises, both Bill and Jeanne Shaheen or Bill Shaheen and combinations of business partners include:

    1. $3,409.01 lien issued against Shaheen Enterprises by the town of Dover, N.H. in 1985 (which was redeemed in 1986).

Confusing? All but one of these liens are reported as released, usually in the same year filed. One, no. 5, for as little as 85 cents. Only one I see not released says not released as of 2009 for an indeterminate amount, that was 5 years ago.

Is this mud slung that has become so old and dry that it has turned to dust? The headline is misleading, thus the writer's motives are questionable, IMO.

I am not standing up for democrats, but responsible reporting done truthfully I do look for.

Sounds pretty even to me. It is all part of the spectacle.
    Enough mudslinging

Editor, Have you seen it? I’m sure you have. Mudslinging ads on TV have trickled over to news stories and letters in the paper. Many Democrat candidates for office and liberal organizations are on an endless smear campaign of Republican candidates, regardless of whether running for state representative or U.S. Senate. Big Oil this, Koch brothers that…blah, blah, blah.

What's big are the problems facing this country. What’s even bigger is the Democrats inability to provide solutions to our challenges. Sadly, many Democrat candidates have taken to this unprecedented mudslinging, none more than Senator Jeanne Shaheen.

After supporting President Obama’s policies 99 percent of the time, she has nothing positive to run on. No solutions for a bad economy that their failed policies made worse. So, blame the Kochs! No plan to address the flood of illegals crossing our borders.

Oops, must be some corporations fault! The only plan she seemed to have was giving us Obamacare — a failed system nearly nobody wants. Was it the Koch brothers who said I could keep my doctor with Obamacare? No…it was Jeanne Shaheen! What do the people want? Mudslinging or honest solutions?

The choice is yours. Choose wisely.
