FARMERS BRANCH ~ The Dallas County Elections Department has released unofficial results of the May 8 Farmers Branch City Council election.

For Place 1 City Council, Matt Wenthold received 1,315 votes while incumbent Tim Scott received 1,519. In Place 4, Kathleen Holmes received 537 votes, Brenda Brodrick received 919 votes and incumbent David Koch received 1,389 votes. As no candidate appears to have received more than 50 percent of the vote for Place 4, there will likely be a runoff in June.

All results are unofficial until canvassed by the Farmers Branch City Council at their regular meeting on May 18. For more information, log onto the Dallas County Elections Department website at www.dalcoelections.org.
