Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison
SR-284, United States Senate
Washington, DC 20510

Dear Senator --------------

Our state overwhelmingly opposes amnesty, so it is greatly disappointing that you voted to keep amnesty in this year's bill. We thought we could count on you!

Your vote on May 25 is an ominous sign that the people of our state cannot depend on you to be true to your word. You said you were against amnesty (you even voted for Sen. Vitter's amendment last year), but you changed your mind and voted to keep amnesty in this year's immigration bill.

This has been a defining vote for you in my eyes. I would like to believe that you will redeem yourself by voting "no" on cloture when the final amnesty bill comes up for a vote, but my gut - and this vote - tell me that you can't be trusted.
Sincerely,

Mr. /Ms.--------------
