Here is a good example of what happens when you don’t watch the government closely.

FL: HB 7181 - Immigrant Survivors of Human Trafficking and Other Serious Crimes

Instead of helping federal authorities with the removal of illegal aliens smuggled into Florida, the state now gives "cash, medical, and social services" to "Services to immigrant survivors of human trafficking, domestic violence, and other serious crimes." This bill was passed in the April 2007 Special Session without opposition and without any media addressing the bill.
