    Thirty-one percent of Republican presidential primary voters in South Carolina said that Ted Cruz was the strongest candidate to combat terrorism, while 30 percent said that the Texas senator was the best contender to name nominees to the Supreme Court.



    Here are the results of the Fox News exit poll of Palmetto State voters:

    Who is the best candidate on terrorism?

    • Cruz: 31 percent.
    • Donald Trump: 27 percent.
    • Marco Rubio: 25 percent.
    • Jeb Bush: 7 percent.


    Who is the best candidate to handle Supreme Court nominations?


    • Cruz: 30 percent.
    • Trump: 26 percent.
    • Rubio: 21 percent.
    • Bush: 10 percent.

    Thirty-eight percent of Republicans voting in the South Carolina Saturday said that they were most interested in a candidate who shared their values, while 32 percent said that terrorism was the most important issue.

    Here are the results of exit polls by CBS News of Palmetto State voters:



    Most important quality of candidates:


    • Shares my values: 38 percent.
    • Can bring change: 29 percent.
    • Tells it like it is: 16 percent.
    • Can win in November: 15 percent.


    Most important issue:


    • Terrorism: 32 percent
    • Economy/Jobs: 28 percent.
    • Government: 27 percent.
    • Immigration: 10 percent.

    I'm disappointed to find immigration so low.

    For some strange reason I get this strange vision of Cruz and Glen Beck kneeling and praying in the hopes that it will all go away instead of doing anything about it. IMO They are both delusional.

    Say what you will about Cruz, but I would certainly vote for him if he wins the nomination. Actually, there are only two candidates I can vote for and that is Cruz or Trump. For me Cruz has strength in places Trump doesn't and vice versa. Either candidate is a huge improvement over what we have now and what the other candidates have represented themselves to be.
