THE IMMIGRATION FACTOR: IF WE DO NOTHING-ECOLOGICAL FOOTPRINT

Part 6: The Immigration factor—quality of life issues that will become really nasty, traffic, price of gas, drive time, species extinction, carbon footprint, ecological footprint
First of all, this series may depress you, worry you and even frighten you. We’re talking about what your kids face within the next 38 years IF you/we/Congress/the president allow another 100 million immigrants to land in our country. That enormous number of human beings from around the world will change everything in our civilization—none of it good. Again, with an added 80 million desperately impoverished people added to the world annually—we can expect NO end of the line of immigrants wanting to come to America “to have a better life.”

No matter how many immigrants we save, they gladly amass a net gain of 80 million more of themselves annually with no end in sight. They will continue adding 1 billion of themselves every 12 years. We only alleviate mass human starvation for a moment in time for those who make it to our shores. At some point, we, too, will not be able to feed ourselves. It’s called “ecological footprint” as to arable land and water. I’ll cover that in a few seconds.

That 100 million people will change the face of our cities, overwhelm our resources, exceed our water supplies and create an energy crisis beyond solving no matter how much soft sell you hear from our leaders and ridiculous TV ads telling us how hard they are working on alternative energy. Balderdash! They need to start thinking about water, resources and arable land to grow food.

Underlying this massive immigration invasion, the foundation of our land, water and air suffers massive degradation on multiple levels. If you think the drought affecting much of the USA this summer and destroyed crops registered new problems, wait until we add 100 million immigrants. How can we feed and water them, and ourselves—when we already suffer a boatload of problems with over 46 million Americans already subsisting on food stamps?

Lester Brown, author of Plan B 4.0 Saving Civilization said, “The world has set in motion environmental trends that are threatening civilization itself. We are crossing environmental thresholds and violating deadlines set by nature. Nature is the timekeeper, but we cannot see the clock.”

Why am I so certain of my work on this subject of immigration/population? As a six continent world cyclist, I have already seen what it does to other countries. It’s destroying Canada, Australia, France, United Kingdom, Holland, Sweden, Belgium, Austria, Denmark, Germany, Spain, Norway and other western countries. It’s overwhelming them and eating away at their cultures and destroying the ability to feed, water and house themselves. The ironic and terrible aspect of mass immigration remains: the receiving country never solves the core problem—third world countries NEVER become responsible for their own numbers or citizens.

I witnessed the utter futility of life in China, India, Bangladesh, much of Mexico, Africa, Indochina and other overpopulated countries around the world. They refuse to solve their problems or the problems have become unsolvable.

Where do I start? I could write another book as to our predicament, but as with the last one, America on the Brink: The Next Added 100 Million Americans, people fail to act on the facts, the realities and the knowledge. I tried to interview on Charlie Rose, Matt Lauer, Katie Couric, Diane Sawyer, Wolf Blitzer, Bill O’Reilly, Bill Maher, Neal Conan (NPR) and dozens of top radio stations. They suppress, ignore and evade this issue at every juncture.

Let’s start with what we create with adding 100 million immigrants as to “ecological footprint.” Ecological footprint is the amount of land required to support one person. In Ethiopia, it’s .4 acres because they are 100 percent agrarian and live simply in huts with outhouses (or they use the land which causes horrific pollution problems). In America, each added person must destroy 25.4 acres in order to be supported at the American level of wealth, resource usage, housing, transportation and food.

“According to the Footprints of Nations the ecological foot print of one average American is 10.3 hectares or 25.45 acres. That is five city blocks plus about two lots (using 5 acre blocks divided into 24 lots). That is how much land it takes to supply all the energy, food, paper, building materials, and consumer goods to keep one average American living the life to which he or she has grown accustomed. By contrast the ecological footprint of average world citizen is 6.92 acres.” Welcome to Heartland All Species Project Home Page

When you take 100 million X’s 24.45 acres, that equals 2.445 billion acres of wilderness to be destroyed to cope with watering, feeding, housing and transporting that many new Americans. What does it mean?

It means that our current 250 annual species extinction rate will climb from 2,500 per decade to probably double that number as cascade extinctions accelerate. It means more arable land will be turned into pavement. It means a drought in 2050 will be a disaster beyond solving to feed our overflowing masses. It means our cities will thicken into living nightmares beyond what we see in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Atlanta, Detroit and others today. It means air pollution, cost of energy and water supplies will worsen beyond anyone’s current imagination.

To give you a hint, gasoline will cost Americans at some point in the future a whopping $20.00 per gallon. It’s already $10.00 a gallon in Europe. That cost will make your cost of food, housing, warming, materials—everything you need to exist will cost you much more. That will lower your standard of living and quality of life. (Source: $20 Per Gallon by Chris Steiner at Forbes Magazine)

In part 7, I am going to cover a few more horrendous problems our country will face IF we allow this massive overload of immigrants to continue. So, will you sit there and let it happen? Again, you can change history by employing Parts 3 and 4 of this series.

In a five minute astoundingly simple yet brilliant video, “Immigration, Poverty, and Gum Balls”, Roy Beck, director of www.numbersusa.ORG, graphically illustrates the impact of endless immigration. Take five minutes to see for yourself:

Now, it should be very understandable to anyone why the UN wants to disarm us. The rest of the world will take our food resources without a shot fired.

Be careful what you ask for, you may get it.
