Give Illegals a Chance

Dear Editor, I and I'm sure other people are so sick about hearing immigrants this and that.. to me people are people, legal or not, we are all the same to God. I am not saying that being here illegally is ok, but give them a chance. Why not make it easy for them to be here legally? All they want to do is work to help make it better for their family here and in Mexico. Who doesn't want a better life? At least they are trying to better themselves huh? Also I want to say that not only are there people here from Mexico but from South American, Honduras, Guatemala, etc. "MEXICANS" have different values than the others. Most illegals that are getting into trouble are not "MEXICANS" and are not from Mexico. And most are young and now they have no drivers licenses. Wow, now that to me was a crazy idea to take them away! And they cannot get an i.d. Who did that? Was it not better for them to have driver's licenses, insurance and a legal tag? At least if they were in an accident would we not be safer? I think so. About the illegals that ran into the man's yard - Do you think if he had a driver's license and insurance that he might not have tried to leave? And by the way, it could have been any other race, it just happened to be an illegal (but think about it why is he illegal?) If anyone thinks it is only the illegals that are doing so bad then huh you need help! Look around. There are people in high places stealing money, there are judges, police, school teachers, etc. The list goes on. And the government has time to worry about illegals. My, isn't there a war going on? And the people waste men at the border? What is really wrong with this world? Parents that have children in that war are losing their child. To me why can't we all just pull together 'cause to me everyone is illegal.. except my people the true legal 'AMERICAN INDIANS' this land does belong to us.

Anyway news flash "your people" are American citizens just like anyone else. Aside from being allowed to run casinos, and a few other perks you get from the government you are simply equal citizens.

But seeing your only concern is "your people" prehaps you should visit some reservations down in Arizona that have been destroyed by illegals from guess where? mexico.

So your saying all non-indians are illegals? Guess that means we can get rid of the Bureau of Indian Affairs that throws so much taxpayer money into reservations.

Guess this person has no knowledge of FBI Crime Stats in this country that prove the crimes these Illegals are committing over and over and over again. I guess they don't see all the Illegal Mexican child sex offenders, or the Illegal Mexican charged with Vehicular Manslaughter from killing someone else from driving drunk. This goes on everyday here in America. Yes crimes are also being committed by other Illegal Aliens from other foreign countries as well. BOTTOM FACT IS IF THEY ARE HERE ILLEGALLY, THEY ARE CRIMINALS AND DO "NOT" BELONG HERE IN THE FIRST PLACE, NOR OR THEY WELCOMED HERE.... THE AMERICAN PEOPLE FOR AMERICA!!!! I agree exactly to everything you said! I'm so glad to see that there are other Americans like yourself that display tolerance, fairness, un-judgementalness and that are so well grounded. It sounds like you, like myself judge only the wrong actions of people and not just discriminate the people themselves based on only their heritage. Why can't Americans concentrate on real harming issues and not judge all illegal immigrants the same. Most of them are like you said, just trying to provide their familes. It is a very courageous feat and a lot of them should be admired because not everyones parents would do something as selfless and brave as that for the sake of their children. I'm not naive, I know that a lot of these immigrants can be bad people doing crimes just as equally as an American could be doing exactly the same, but guess what, some ARE NOT.

Good grief! Don't you GET IT??? There's no way the United States can absorb the weight of all of the world's poor and downtrodden. Our country will collapse under that weight!!!

We need to stop the flood of illegal aliens into this country, and we need to stop it NOW!! If we don't, the United States will no longer be the place everybody wants to come to for a "better life". It will just be another 3rd world cesspool that everybody is trying to escape.

I believe all illegal aliens should be judged the same and under current law be deported as that is the current penalty for their crimes.

Would that mean that Mexico would finally have to start acting and behaving like a responsible nation?

No, I think that Mexico will find another way to take advantage of this country's resources and politicians. I also find William's comments sound and should be the montra for all law abiding Citizen's...deport those who have broken the law. I can't stand this mis-direction crapola being printed in the papers and spewed on TV.
