Thread: Has anyone heard this??

My parents told me last night they heard that when we let these people in either through a VISA or green card or whatever, that this amnesty plan will give them $30,000 to help them get started?

Please tell me I was dreaming this??? . . .

I've not seen anything like that. I've heard that the illegal aliens will be eligible for the Earned Income Tax credit which will give them much larger tax refunds than they even put in on their income taxes.

I know that it's true of immigrants from certain countries, so it might be true this time. In my area, they give $20,000 (last I heard, but that was awhile back) to Haitian immigrants to get started.

One of the most alarming and disgusting upcoming entitlements (according to Lou Dobbs) is free legal counsel to handle their amnesty issues, at the expense of us taxpayers.

I wonder if they are misinterpreting one of the standard info-bits that's been floating around for the past couple of weeks. The info was even presented on the Senate floor this week.

Financial analysis has shown the benefits provided to an illegal alien will be a 3:1 ratio to their earned wage. The numbers they have used to illustrate the ratio: $10,000 in wages will yield $30,000 in benefits.

Maybe this is what your parents have heard.

the 30.000 number is based on studies that say that is what they take out of social services and monies while only putting in 10.000
