I think the senators who are voting yea are getting big payoff's for voting yea and do not have any intention of running for office again. Or they think they can get the pay and every illegal in the country will be voting
for them. The illegal will no longer be illegal.

They are banking on their pork to save them. And they are hoping on short memories come next election cycle.

Alot of these spineless clowns are so entrenched in their office that they aren't scared to do whatever they please. Trent Lott and my particular senator John Warner come to mind as examples of this.

Others plan on voting against the bill AFTER cloture to be able to confuse the electorate into thinking that they were never for the bill - even though they voted for cloture which forwarded it's success.

Basically most of the old timers view us voters as sheep and that we aren't "smart enough" to figure out what they are doing. Too bad the jokes on them - big bussiness controls all politics in this country. We live in a Corpocracy© now.

We need to remind them that the american people during the last senate and congress elections voted the Republicans out because there were not longer acting like conservative Republicans. I guess they need more lessons in the will of the American People.
