Hillary’s e-mail server isn’t the only thing the FBI should be probing

FBI Director James Comey declined to recommend charges against Hillary Clinton for her e-mail mess last week, and the Justice Department closed the matter.
But Comey hasn’t said boo about allegations of corruption by Clinton involving her family foundation. And in testimony before a House Committee on Thursday, he zipped his lips when asked whether his agency had even probed those charges.

“I’m not going to comment on the existence or nonexistence of other investigations,” said Comey. “Was the Clinton Foundation tied into this investigation?” he was asked. The FBI boss wouldn’t say.

Yet Clinton’s record here is target-rich, involving endless pay-to-play scandals tied to the hundreds of millions in speaking fees for the Clintons and donations to their foundation.

In January, Fox News reported that the FBI’s probe of Hillary e-mails had “expanded” to determine if any “intersection” of Clinton Foundation work and State Department business while she was its secretary violated corruption laws.

Charles Gasparino, writing in The Post, also cited law-enforcement sources saying the FBI was on the case.

Voters ought to know if the Democrats’ presumptive nominee for president is under investigation for that matter — and where such a probe stands.
Remember, Peter Schweizer’s book about the corruption, “Clinton Cash,” by itself contains enough to keep armies of prosecutors and FBI gumshoes busy.

  • There’s Hillary’s role in handing Russia mining rights to 20 percent of US uranium reserves (and more in Kazakhstan) — as the foundation raked in millions from donors linked to a company that owned those rights. And as Bill got $500,000 from Russia for a single speech.

  • There’s her appointment of businessman Rajiv Fernando to her International Security Advisory Board. Fernando had no qualifications (and quit soon after), but he gave $5 million to the Clinton Foundation.

  •  There’s the $55 million in US aid to the International Youth Foundation, run by Clinton donor Douglas Becker — whose shady for-profit Laureate Education paid Bill $16.5 million over five years.

  • There’s the tens of millions the foundation got from human-rights-abusing nations like Saudi Arabia and Oman and how Clinton’s State Department treated them.

All told, Clinton Inc. “nonprofits” have raised a stunning $2 billion. The family and Hillary’s campaign have taken in hundreds of millions more.

Such corruption could dwarf Hillary’s e-mail abuses. US Attorney Preet Bharara has been busy looking into similar pay-to-play questions involving Teams de Blasio and Cuomo.

A potential president surely deserves to be held to the same standard.
