How sad! Another tradgedy, two young lives snuffed out by a criminal who had no right to be here.

Just remember, that could be any of our children. I would be so infuriated over something like this, that I think I would go insane with rage and do something stupid. I love my son and my daughter so much, and am so proud of them, that I don't think I would be able to control my actions.

Got up early this am, Hylander, ad was reading it. Remembered the pain of losing one and had to get off for a while.

A door to the future slams, the slamming reverbarates through your mind. The noise is solid and strikes you in the chest, taking your breath away and causing your head to balloon out. The door slams again each Thanksgiving, each Christmas, each time you pass their room, each time you set the table.

    Faye,

That must be the worst thing that can happen to a parent. We are not supposed to bury our childern. It's supposed to be the other way around.

My grandparents would be able to relate to you, as my mom, and dad both passed in their mid 40's. Dad even struck a bad note as he passed on his mother's birthday. Which grams even 20 years later won't accept. To her we are 2 hours behind them in the timezone, so to her it was the day after. I wish both of my parents were still here, as being orphaned at 22 years old has made life a tough event at times. I can still remember gramps standing at dad's grave as he visibly trembled, and started to weep for his boy.

I have sometimes chided myself for being unfeeling towards someone elses loss. I myself from 87 to 93 buried 15 family members and friends. It left me numb to the feeling of loss. It started with dad in 87, and ended with my great gramma on new years eve in 93 when the ex-Mrs and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary. It was a tough period to say the least and I'm sure a contributing factor for our marital demise. And I know it was me in this area, as I unwittingly distanced myself from those I loved the most. I love my ex-Mrs dearly to this day, and every Mother's Day, I still call her first thing, and thank her for giving me the greatest gifts she could have given me. My two children.

So in essence, I can relate, but from a different side of the street so to say. The memory and the scars never go away, but we all learn every day a little more and a little more how to cope and continue on the best we can.

Another senseless crime to American humanity!!

It has to be so depressing for Faye to have to research these stories then write about them. Today is my Joshus'a birthday. He would have been 5. Instead of taking cupcakes to his school today, I sit crying at a computer emailing government offfices a birthday card in his honor. My family and I are sending off balloons today to celebrate his short life with us. Everyone, send Joshua a special birthday wish in heaven.
Do They understand the word ILLEGAL????

    Bren,

It is not only depressing, it tears my heart. I don't think I could write about it. That's Kate's job. But because I have been there, I know the pain you and all the others have to go through. It makes me so angry, I can't tell you the anger I feel, to know what's happening every minute of every day, and the government I have loved and served is allowing it. All we hear about is compassion for the illegals. Compassion? "Fringe" groups that want to take over our government and our land, kick us out, kill us... that fringe group was out in the streets last year and there were millions of them.

Where's the compassion for our American citizens? What happened to fighting facism, communism, socialism? Didn't my husband and I spend 21 years of long separations to protect the United States against these things? Why are these groups being federally funded if my husband and I along with so many others spent most of our adult lives fighting the very idea. Wasn't our government the best in the world? Wasn't that the reasoning given for the things we had to endure? Sure wasn't the money. We were qualified for welfare if I didn't work.

Yes, trying to fight this is depressing and I get to points I can't stand to see one more death, not one more family torn to shreds. There's a police officer named Clodfelter that affected me really badly. He was a really nice guy and he had been married to a fellow officer, Rene, only 3 months. She stood the pain a year, succumbed to it, and committed suicide a year after his death. I understand why as do you now. There is another story about an illegal living with a bunch of illegals who stomped a 14-month old baby, broke its spine and ruptured its heart. That one made me pull back from this a week. My great-grandson was about 14 months old when I first read the story. The baby was probably an anchor baby. But I looked at my grandson, his little fingers holding mine or his putting his fingers in my mouth, or pulling on my glasses. His eyes so trusting. His running to me whenever he got into trouble. His little mouth and his little nose. Every inch of him so precious. How could ANYONE with a sane mind do that to something so dependent and trusting? No one with a sane mind and any humanity in his bones....

There are many coming for a better life, but they are not entitled to demand anything of me or any other American. There are many who come to steal, to rape, to plunder. To my thinking, anyone who will break one law will not hesitate to break others. That's why they don't pay attention to our laws and drive drunk, run away from hitting someone with a vehicle. Our established immigration laws would screen for that. If they were held responsible for what they do, others of them would not take breaking our laws so lightly. But they are not being held responsible. I've run across several who have been tried for manslaughter and sentenced to 364 days rather than 365. At 365, they would be eligible for deportation. The judge credits them with time served and they walk freely out of the courthouse. A lot of them are found guilty time after time after time and still let go until they kill someone. This is outrageous.

So... I may get depressed for a few days. But I'm going to come out of it fighting mad. We WILL receive attention for these victims that didn't have to be victims. Our president, our Congress, should be, as Kate indicates on her flyers, very ashamed that these deaths and injuries are occurring. I want them all to gather on the White House steps, hang their heads, and offer up to the whole of America the very abject apology they owe us.

I put this on a previous post but no one has commented so I don't know that anyone watched this video. A 20-year-old named Jeremy in Houston made it. I find it very sad, but very comforting also. It also indicates people are beginning to pay attention to the victims of illegal immigration. Jeremy's work is beautiful, as is Kate's. With the talents of people like Jeremy and Kate, we will touch the heart of America and leave those that would destroy us speechless... an end to this insanity.
