WDRB reported:Hernandez has been charged with murder, DUI, assault, wanton endangerment, leaving the scene of an accident, criminal mischief, driving without a license and no proof of insurance.
Police said Hernandez was the driver of a car that crossed the center line and struck, head on, a motorcycle carrying two people. The driver, identified by the coroner's office asPhillip C. Frey, 62, of Louisville, later died at University of Louisville hospital. Frey was not wearing a helmet, police said.
Frey's female passenger was hurt and was still hospitalized Thursday. Police have not released her name.
Officers said that witnesses saw Hernandez walking away from the crash site, on Industrial Blvd. near Fern Valley Road. Police arrested him Thursday and said he appeared to have injuries from the crash.
