Illegal . . . Not Hard To Understand
Spokesman Review

Letters to the editor
'Illegal' not hard to understand
The word "illegal" is defined on dictionary.com as: "unlawful; illegitimate; illicit; unlicensed. Illegal, unlawful, illegitimate, illicit, criminal can all describe actions not in accord with law." "Illegal" refers most specifically to violations of statutes. The American Heritage Dictionary defines it as "prohibited by law."
Is there any part of this word "illegal" that you politicians out there don't understand? If so, would you please provide your names to this newspaper so I can be sure to vote for the ones that understand that it is "illegal" to let "illegal" immigrants into this country and that it is "illegitimate" to then turn around and give them certain benefits and privileges that will encourage more "illegal" immigrants to want to come here?
If our elected officials ignore the "illegal" part of the problem then do nothing about it then they are guilty of criminal behavior as far as I am concerned, and at a minimum they need to be removed from office.

But illegal is not a politically correct term!!! We are children and we can't handle words!!! Every thing needs to be babied down for us!!! We are becoming a country of infants.... Look at all the censorship on TV, radio and other media sources.... Who are we protecting? Not our Constitutional rights thats for sure! Government has NO RIGHT to tell us what is "bad and good" down with the FCC and there corrupt bases on censorship!!!

They would rather use the word "undocumented" to describe the illegals in this country. Well, here's a news flash. That word isn't even in the dictionary. At least, it's not in mine . . .Merriam Webster's Collegiate Dictionary,

"Undocumented" was probably a recent insertion for the sake of public debate over the word "illegal" so the pro-amnesty folks look better.

What are the other words they're starting to call them . . . migrants, to name one. They are not migrants. Indians used to "migrate", but in the same country. They didn't leave America to "migrate" to another country. To me, "illegal" still means it's against the law, and I will continue to use that word.

ILLEAGL ALIENS We don’t hear that one much Any more, but I believe its the true first term to describe
SOON TO BE DEARLY DEPORTED CRIMINAL IMMIGRENT
The term Undocumented worker has been found to be not the / a valid description when It comes to any person here in the country illegally... Any American born citizen can be a undocumented worker. Take a job cutting grass for your friend one time and take money for it don’t turn it in or give him a receipt and you are now a undocumented worker. Side work ect...
