Judge Jeanine cites statistics which show that the American people have a 79% unfavorable opinion of Congress and asks Rep Louis Gohmert to explain it. He says he’s had the same view in many ways until the recent border bill they passed. He gives examples of what was hidden by John Boehner and his fellow pro-amnesty sellouts that made it impossible to go along with the original submission.

Gohmert describes language on page 18 which provided that any illegal who misses their first scheduled immigration interview would be granted a subsequent interview whenever the law caught up with them unless the government is able to prove that they were at fault. Rep Gohmert describes that provision alone as blanket amnesty, saying nobody would appear.

Judge Pirro asks Congressman Gohmert what were the fixes that they put into their bill, what changed. He provides specifics, including:
Detainees remain on the border during processing; they are not taken into the interior of the country and released. They remain in detention centers.

The House bill reunites children with parents if they are in the country and then they send them back.

In the original bill, governors who requested the National Guard could be denied by the Secretary of Defense. The version that passed the House, governors can call them up on their own.

Gohmert says that because the House finally passed a good bill, the pressure is now on the Senate to respond in kind. He says that if they don’t, there will definitely be some senators who lose their seats and that he feels Obama’s claims of unilateral amnesty is a bluff.

Congressman Gohmert says that Obama is bluffing, that if he grants a blanket amnesty, his actions will guarantee that the Republicans take over the Senate and strengthen their numbers in the House.

She then talks to Sheriff Thomas Hodgson of Bristol County, Massachusetts about a piece of legislation in his state called the “Trust Act.” Hodgson characterizes it as taking the handcuffs off of the illegal alien and placing them onto law enforcement. Not only are there implications for the rule of law, but there are also public safety and financial considerations which are ignored by the proponents in promoting their legislation.
