Just a quick safety tip I never thought of
I received an e mail today from someone I know who was just robbed in this fashion.
She met a friend for lunch at a Mexican restaurant (probably coincidence) in the Weddington area of N.C. After lunch she got in her car and drove home. When she pulled in the driveway she noticed her garage door opener was missing from her sun visor. She then noticed her cell phone was gone and it then hit her someone had broken into her car. She looked at the door lock and saw where it had been broken.
As she looked at her house she saw her front door was partially open. The thieves had retrieved her name and address from her glove compartment and immediately robbed her home gaining entry with the garage door opener, knowing she would be occupied at the restaurant for a good while. By the way, she had failed to set her alarm and left the door unlocked leading from the garage into the house; which I think we are all guilty of sometimes.
In this crime riddled society of ours, it is best you consider taking all name/address info. out of your car and carry your garage door opener with you.

Wow. I never thought of that. I guess its time to take all info out of the glove compartment. And its no problem to put my opener in my purse.
Thanks for the tips.RIP Butterbean! We miss you and hope you are well in heaven.-- Your ALIPAC friends

Ther's a particlular make and model suv out there that can be broken into in five seconds with a screwdriver with very little damage that you may not even notice until you look in your and see things missing.
My point here is that even if you lock your car there are people out there who know how to get in and quick, they practice this.
For those of you who use the club on your steering wheel thinking it will stop them from steeling your car forget it, I can get around that in less than thirty seconds.

I can't help but wonder in this case if the thieves have someone working on the inside that tell them when the victim is leaving the restaurant.
