Latino Heckler Puts President Obama On the Spot: ‘What Happened to Change We Can Believe in?’
38 Shares By Juan Leon 23 hours ago
When Latino voters heavily preferred President Obama in 2012, they did so, largely, based on the understanding that Obama’s ‘hope and change’ platform would encompass immigration reform.
Even though Obama’s administration is likely to see less overall deportations — when you factor in the somewhat nebulous process of removals versus returns — by the end of his second term than in George W. Bush’s eight years, this is apparently not enough for some pro-immigration advocates.
Immigration activists are upset over the President’s decision to put off action until the midterm elections, believing it “will result in thousands more deportations.”
Fusion covered last Thursday’s speech at the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute gala in Washington, during which the President was interrupted by a heckler.

Obama interrupted by immigration protester at CHCI gala. Shouted "what happened to change we can believe in?"

Fabian reports:
Obama tried to quiet Hernandez, saying “I’m about to get to that,” then touted his record on immigration. He stressed that his DACA program has benefitted over 600,000 young undocumented immigrants. Obama rode to the speech with two DACA recipients who are interns on Capitol Hill, Luis Alcauter and Victor Mena, the White House said. Here is a photo of the female heckler being escorted from the premises:
Activists have pressured Obama to expand that type of relief to millions more undocumented immigrants. The president’s decision to put off action until after the midterm elections will result in thousands more deportations, advocacy groups say. Protesters also demonstrated outside the location of the gala in downtown Washington.

Obama attempted to reassure the crowd by emphasizing his determination to act. But he also emphasized the need for Latino support of Democratic candidates in the upcoming November elections:“I’m going to need you to have my back,” he said. “The fact of the matter is that no matter how bold I go, nothing I can do will be as lasting and comprehensive as the Senate [immigration] bill.”Protesters also gathered outside the location of the gala:

During his speech, Obama commented that addressing immigration issues is “not a question of if, but when.” The President talked candidly, saying that “no force on earth can stop us.” Bizarrely, he pays tribute to anti-illegal immigration activist Cesar Chavez.
What is also telling is President Obama’s attitude towards the law and his oath of office. Obama has already hinted that he will essentially pass a form of amnesty after the 2014 elections, a sticking point for some Democrats since it is believed to hurt Latino voter registration and turnout. In this context, another quote by the President should raise eyebrows:
People who love this country can change it. America isn’t Congress. America isn’t Washington. America is the striving immigrant who starts a business or the mom who works two low-wage jobs to give her kids a better life. America is the union leader and the CEO who put aside their differences to make the economy stronger. America is the student who defies the odds to become the first in the family to go to college. The citizen who defies the cynics and goes out there and votes. The young person who comes out of the shadows to demand the right to dream. That’s what America is about. But it’s a good question at this point to ask what’s going to “change” for illegal immigrants, even if they are granted amnesty.
And six years ago, I asked you to believe, and tonight, I ask you to keep believing, not just in my ability to bring about change, but in your ability to bring about change! Because in the end, DREAMER is more than just a title, it’s a pretty good description of what it means to be an American.

The idea that Obama is not doing enough to assist the forced legalization of foreigner squatters is preposterous. Perhaps the people who yell at Obama believe this stuff, but it probably has been inculcated into them by their leaders who want to create a bogus image that Obama is actually enforcing the law instead what he is actually doing (which is evading the law). I think that it is camouflage to reduce the pressure against him by Americans opposed to illegal aliens amnesty.

Unbelievable: Obama Just Showed His Most Blatant Disregard For American Laws Yet
"No force on earth can stop us."
Norvell Rose — October 3, 2014
Video at the page link:
Barack Obama seems to get most worked up not about ISIS, not about Ebola, not about problems plaguing the VA or the Secret Service…but when he’s in campaign mode — when he’s engaged in that kind of campaign-style activism and populist agitation that lets him pit one segment of the population against another.
It’s when the President of the United States has another chance to pander for votes, to play to a receptive audience he can portray as victims or long-suffering servants to some societal injustice, that he really gets fired up.
Savior to the oppressed, champion to the downtrodden, deliverer from the evil of greedy corporations or small-minded, hate-filled racists — these are the “hero” roles Barack Obama most relishes and that really gas up his theatrical engine. This was proven once again by his appearance before immigration activists at a gala Thursday hosted by the Congressional Hispanic Caucus.
CNSnews.com reports that Obama proudly boasted to the gathering in Washington, D.C. that he had ridden to the event with two illegal aliens — Obama calls them “dreamers” — that he hoped to soon make “legal” by issuing an executive order.“I want to give a special thanks to two young men who rode over with me from the White House tonight,” Obama said. “Luis and Victor are CHCI (Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute) interns and fellows. They are also dreamers, living and working in the country they call home, and making it a better place for all of us.Obama pledged to the enthusiastic audience that he is still committed to taking executive action to radically change the country’s immigration system, in spite of congressional resistance or constitutional restraint. And he strongly suggested — even speaking in Spanish — that such an executive order would mean greater voting power for those who support his position.
“The clearest path to change is to change [the voter turnout] number,” said Obama “Si se puede, si votamos! Yes, we can, if we vote!”The Weekly Standard points out that Obama proclaimed that his ideals — his mission to make “dreamers” full-fledged members of the American family — conforms with the principles of the Founders.
And the president made one of his most strongly worded and defiantly delivered vows yet about his intent to follow through with promises of amnesty after the midterms.“Each of us is called on to stand proudly for the values we believe in, and the future we seek. All of us have a chance to reach out and pull this country that we call home a little closer to its founding ideas.By the way, Obama made a special point of giving a shout-out to Nancy Pelosi, who was prominently in attendance at the Hispanic Caucus gala.
“That spirit is alive in America today, and with that spirit, no force on earth can stop us.”
