Lg electronics laying off American Workers for illegals

In November we were told that our jobs in building 2 in huntsville, alabama would be obselete and that there would be few or no jobs available in other buildings for us. Lg electronics and Automation Personnell have long brought in illegal immigrants instead of Americans. We're given a small severence package that amounts to very little. we were told if a job came open in another building we would have to apply and interview for it just like an outside applicant, no matter how long we've been at the company. recently we found out that they took the illegals working through automation that were laid off from the building and placed them in other buildings where they would be making more money. we have complained to Lg about their unfair business practices for years and nothing has been done. we've called ICE repeatedly and still nothing. We've also complained about the female illegals getting races for "flirting" their way to the top to put it in a nice term. nothing has been done. does anyone have any suggestions.
i've even emailed the mayor of huntsville, contacted news stations and we need some help.

A multi-pronged approach is required. Keep contact information for all employees affected. Find out who among them is ready willing and able to help and in what capacity. Create a phone tree where everybody has a list of people to call when timely action is necessary, be it flooding political offices with phone calls and e-mails to standing on the sidewalk with signs. Keep in mind that national mainstream media is sold out to the government but small local media has learned that ignoring local news renders them irrelevant and so in order to maintain readership or listenership they must pay attention to situations such as yours. Eventually the momentum you generate will hit national media - they won't have a choice. With a phone tree, every time your issue is covered on a local radio show or something similar you can stack the inbound call lines with your supporters. You can flood politicians with complaints and so on.

    Think Utah list.

Meanwhile try to find local groups that might support your efforts using this:

Post on this groups too if possible:

There are groups sprouting up all over - this one might have some models for you to try:

Also documenting what happens to employees who lose their jobs is important. Basically what is happening imho is a huge Ponzi scheme because government is colluding with business to hire illegals who pay less into the system while giving them benefits such as medicaid, food stamps and housing aid, not to mention free public education and so on. These lower wage employees are not paying enough taxes in to even pay for the services they are using so the whole system is destined to crumble - I guess the politicos are just hoping that it is not on their watch.

Yes, nice corporate psychology at work. Most people will be afraid to be politically active for fear of harming their chances at the few jobs available or fear of getting terminated now. Historically even any type of organizing can be grounds for automatic termination so yes I understand the totally vulnerable situation. Check the fine print on the organizing rules for your employer. Some company squealer can rat you out for even the effort you have made so far. You do need some help. Document document document. Nobody should have to go through this.

For those who fear to fight, this article might help show them what their choices really are and help them to make a decision:

Unions know how to organize but they have proven that they are not the answer. They have proven that they don't care if the source of their dues is illegal or not.

A great breakdown on the real forces at work there sarum.

    Question is what to do?

I doubt the employees at that particular site will accomplish very much with whatever tactics they employ. Too few, too little, too late.

The economic times will dictate the tactics that will continue to unravel. The tendency for the masses is to react after the fact, or after the facts as presented are released to the masses. By that time the information is too old and the efforts are played from the disadvatage of trying to catch up. Sort of like trying to stop the snowball rolling towards,......well, by stopping it after it is almost to the bottom and has thus grown in size and has little distance to roll. Late defense.

Time for offensive thinking and planning.

How to get in front of information? The best way is to make the information or control the information.

The snowball starts small, and gains momentum, due to gravity. He who makes the snowball, and starts the roll, gains the advantage. JMO

The above suggestion cover most ideas but I have just 2 more suggestions to add,

First do you have concrete proof these workers are Illegals ? If you do or if you can somehow get that proof then call ICE and show them the proof.

Again if you have proof of your allegations write an opinion piece in local papers exposing the company who is doing this. It will at lest stir the pot since many citizens are hurting and will be angry maybe enough to join in your fight.

IMO we are obligated to expose wrong doing by IA's and those who hire them. Don't give up just keep fighting.

The problem, as I understand it is that the employess received a small severance and are afraid to picket, protest and a third world type fit like the illegals do for fear of losing the severance.

Automation is a TEMPORARY agency that supplies labor so it sounds as though the employees were let go while the temp employees were kept.

LG is a South Korean company. I wonder what incentives they receivedto locate a factory in Alabama.

    livelyliz48,

Your Alabama Senator Jeff Sessions is one of the strongest and most pro-active opponents of illegal immigration in the nation. For something as wide-spread as you describe, I would contact Sen. Sessions's office about the situation.
