I don't understand how the military can be a corporate sponsor of ANYTHING. Isn't the military a government entity run on taxpayer dollars?

Unbelievable.

Right -- we have soldiers on food stamps in some instances, soldiers being denied the help they need upon return from deployments and we're giving to LaRaza???

An OUTRAGE.

I am a veteran and this is SERIOUS. This should not be taking place. Everyone should write their representative in the House and both US Senators. No matter what you think of them, they need to feel some heat on this.

NOTE: Jeff Sessions and John Cornyn are BOTH members of the Senate Armed Services Committee ... we all should have their email and phone numbers memorized by now, right?

These two would be a great place to start.

If you are a military veteran or have one in your family it would be great if you could let the VFW, American Legion, or other organizations you (or they) belong to know about this and how you feel about it.

My letter to the senator:

Dear Senator McCain:

Since you are the ranking member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, I am writing you today to question why funds from the Marine Corps and the U.S. Army are being donated to the hispanic advocacy group, LaRaza.

This is a blatant, outrageous misuse of government/military funding.

WHY LaRaza? Why ANY special interest advocacy group at all? These are U.S. tax dollars that should support SOLDIERS, family members, period. If we can't even take care of our soldiers properly as they return from deployments, I can't understand why we would sponsor special interest organizations.

As a U.S. taxpaying citizen, and a spouse of a U.S. military member being deployed to Iraq in August, I'd like an answer to this question. Thanks in advance for your reply.

The American people deserve to know what this traitor continues to do w/ our money. This needs to go out across the net. Made call.

I wrote to Senator Sessions. I thanked him for his stand on the recent Senate bill but I had this brought to my attention and felt it needed to be addressed.

I will call the above senators and my own also...

I think McCain is toast. I was listening to CSPAn yesterday and just about every caller would state the same message to the question of whether or not he can make a comeback. Most said no and the reason was : It's the illegal immigration, stupid!
