MEX Gov. sponsors "My Mexico" contest in the U.S.

    TRANSLATED FROM:
    http://www.azcentral.com/lavoz/cultura/ ... so-CR.html

The Institute of Mexicans Abroad (IME) invites children from 7 to 11 years of age living in the United States and Canada to participate in the contest "This is my Mexico" , that promotes a cultural approach of the children of migrant Mexicans with the country of their ancestors.

In their twelfth edition, the contest wants to motivate boys and girls in order to express their vision of the Mexico that they know, and to turn that into a drawing.

The contest gives the freedom to children to draw landscapes, situations or memories that they have of their country, or memories that have been told to them by relatives.

In their creations, the children will be able to represent "their Mexico" by means of their culture, history, traditions and festivals, as well as their leaders, music, folklore and food.

A judge panel will carry out the selection of the 15 winning drawings, that will be made known before August 12, 2008 in the electronic entry: http://portal.sre.gob.mx/tucson and in the electronic page of the IME: www.sre.gob.mx/ime.

    The prizes

The prize will be to select, among a computer, a digital camera, drawing equipment and a package of school equipment, or books whose value may not exceed $1,500 dollars.

As a result of the contest, an exposition of the better drawings will be presented all over the world and in a 2009 Mexican calendar.

A propoganda program to instill loyality to Mexico since applicants have to live abroad. Why isn't this done with children in Mexican schools? They are the ones most in need of a computer, books and other gifts.

Many idolize the narco trafficers even with song. Will those works of art be picked?

    Great comment.

    Notice the title, "My Mexico".

This contest is produced to instill loyalty to a foreign country. Its goal is to have U.S. citizens with hispanic heritage pledge alligance to Mexico.

Just another reason why Mexicans don't assimilate and can't manage to pull themselves out of poverty.

All they need to do is walk out their front doors and take a few pix of the barrios they live in...chickens, roosters, pigs, goats, taco trucks, beat up clunkers on the streets, broken down trailers in the front and back yards, Mexican flags, graffitti on every wall, gangbangers with their MS13 tattoos, beer cans overflowing in the trash cans, and illegals overflowing everywhere! THAT'S THEIR MEXICO!!!

    4. Sign and date your drawing. You must write on the back of your drawing your complete name, age, address, home phone number, e-mail, school name, place of birth, and your parents’ place of birth. To make it easier for you, just fill out the attached form. Don’t forget that all the information is important and you could be disqualified if you leave something out.[quote]

Send every entry to ICE for their reading pleasure, especially the part about the place of birth of the parent and the child!

Instead of adapting to a new culture, they want to make sure they don't forget where their allegience really lies. When you think of all the things we allow in this country for some people who are not even suppose to be here, it makes you wonder how they have the nerve to call us racists.

The Mexicans are having an identity problem! First they called themselves 'Hispanics'...then it was 'Mexican'...and now the latest is 'Latino'! But the one thing they refuse to call themselves is "AMERICAN"!

Most of these little darlings are probably illegal or anchor brats...and they are being indoctinated by Mexico as the future anarchists...the future revolutionaries.

Their hatred of the US is so palpable...it makes me sick! We need to give them all a map of Mexico with a one-way Greyhound bus ticket! What a bunch of ungrateful peasants! We need to declare Mexico an 'Enemy of State'! With friends like this...who needs enemies??? We are the ONLY nation on the planet with a contigous border with a country that does NOT share our values and culture! Mexico has been officially declared the most corrupt country on the planet! Get them out of OUR country!
