PUEBLA, Mexico — Cres has spent almost half his 32 years working in the United States, in the fields of California and Texas and the factories of Chicago and New York. His wife and three children were with him some of the time. But he was alone for long spells, and it was during one of those periods that he figures he contracted H.I.V.

How could HIV and AIDS be EXPLODING? According to Bush they have such high family values, surely they wouldn't cheat on their wives.

It's even worse than no morals - it's no common sense either. How can anybody not have heard of AIDS? And then they 'refuse to use condoms' - with a prostitute? They have a culture that looks the other way where male infidelity is concerned, while trumpeting the values of the Church and family, and won't take the one simple measure that would have cut their risk. How can AIDS not spread in that cultural petrie dish?

Yeah, I heard the story read by Laura Ingraham yesterday. I wrote a letter to Mark Lacey asking if he has ever written a story about the diseases being brought in to the US by the illegals. A search through his archives didn't show any.
