VICTORVILLE — The widow of a fallen California Highway patrol officer asked the man who killed him who was going to walk her daughters down the aisle and teach her sons to become honorable men.

Domingo Esqueda, the illegal immigrant who hit and killed CHP officer Gregory John Bailey in 2006 while drunk, was sentenced to 10 years Friday morning, but not before hearing the impact his crime had on the friends and family of the officer.

So he gets 10 years for MURDERING a law enforcement officer, and Ramos and Campeon get 11 and 12 years for shooting a CRIMINAL drug smuggler in the butt.

Another American killed by an illegal because our government will not enforce our laws. The list grows longer and longer, sadly.

This should have been first degree murder, not vehicular manslaughter. Usually when a law enforcement officer dies, they go for the max. If someone is that drunk and drives and kills someone the intent of first degree should apply.
