    My Letter To the Republican National Headquarters

    "After being a life-long member of the GOP, I have re-registered today as an Independent. When Mitt Romney, the only conservative candidate left dropped out. I will not longer support the party. It grieves me, for I have been a party member for 40 years. When the party gets back to its original stands and values I may be reconsider but it will be a VERY long time.

    I will never vote for John McCain. When he and Lindsay Graham called law-abiding American citizens "bigots" and "xenophobes" because they wanted their immigration laws enforced and obeyed, that told me this party is so off base that it may not recover. When the party's candidate works closer with Ted Kennedy than the conservatives of their party, he is not my leader. I don't want a leader who supports and backs foreign nationals who have broken our laws before he supports American Citizens."
