WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (WGHP)—


Three people have been arrested after $31,000 worth of heroin was found at three Winston-Salem homes on Friday, deputies said.

Joaquin Alvaro Sanchez, 32; Salvador Vazquez Campos, 46; and Casey Jo Delgado, 27, were charged after deputies seized 155 grams of the drug at 5023 Baux Mountain Road, 2029 Bertha Street, and 1110 Franklin Street.


Deputies say the searches were part of a five month investigation into a Forsyth County heroin distribution ring. Officers also seized two pistols and about $8,682.

Sanchez was charged with six counts of conspiracy to sell heroin and six counts of conspiracy to deliver heroin.

Campos was charged with one count of conspiracy to sell heroin, one count of conspiracy to deliver heroin and four counts of trafficking heroin.

Delgado was charged with one count of conspiracy to sell heroin, one count of conspiracy to deliver heroin and 16 counts of trafficking heroin.

All three were placed in the Forsyth County Jail and have Dec. 1 court dates. Sanchez received a $1,000,000 bond, Campos, a $1,500,000 bond and Delgado a $5,000,000 bond.

The Department of Homeland Security, The North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement Division, the Stokes County Sheriff's Office and the Kernersville Police Department conducted the investigation. Further details were not provided.
