You can also search our forum here for the Bill number of the last major amnesty attempt in the Senate (last year) Search for 'S1639'.

One of the most important and basic points which cannot be emphasize enough, is that the first big amnesty* was a complete policy failure... and lawmakers were considering yet another amnesty (with 10 times the number of IAs) - thus, ultimately resulting in a problem of exponentially greater proportions. Many of the supporters of the original 1986 amnesty have since gone on record as saying that law was a huge mistake. Some of those lawmakers PROMISED that would be a one-time exception - never to be re-visited again.

A quick bulleted list should include the impacts in various basic areas:

    > Economic
    > Services (Health, Medical, etc)
    > Law Enforcement (incarceration, judicial, etc)
    > Education
    > Cultural (language accommodation, etc)

(*in purely technical terms, there have been several different, but smaller, amnesties)

This is from Sen. Sessions' press release and link above (regarding *not* learning English in the Senate amnesty bill peddled last summer):

Loophole 10 – Learning English Not Required For A Decade:

[i]Illegal aliens are not required to demonstrate any proficiency in English for more than a decade after they are granted amnesty. Learning English is not required for an illegal alien to receive probationary benefits, the first 4-year Z visa, or the second 4-year Z visa. The first Z visa renewal (the second 4-year Z visa) requires only that the alien demonstrate an “attemptâ€

Stepping back from the illegal immigration and looking at the more general overall picture.

How about his funding support from George Soros at the same time he lobbied for and helped pass McCain-Feingold campaign finance contribution bill? No shortage of contradictions there! ( )

    Very good

Senator John McCain has a very severe skeleton in his closet.

Both these bills were introduced by McCain and they had NO COSPONSORS.
The ACSA challenges Senator McCain on his legislative history of Human Rights Violations: "a Skeleton in his closet: UNFIT to hold public office!"

    This is incredible

Here is a table of McCain's top political contributors.

    Wow.

    Most of
these are involved in the Subprime Scandal. There is banking, big
media, IS and IT for federal gov., foodservice for gov., energy giants,
big pharma, and large equity investment firms.

This is the kind of the information that could help
expose McCain as the true Washington insider he is, and NOT a defender of the Constitution and the people.

He takes his marching orders from.....:

    Top McCain 2007 Contributors

1 Citigroup Inc (Subprime Scandal) (Class 3 asset questions) $145,050

Here is some good info in a GOP resolution we are using.

WHEREAS the Republican Party is founded upon the conservative
political philosophy derived from the principle that individuals are
endowed not by the government, but by the Creator, with certain
    unalienable rights; and

WHEREAS the Constitution of the United States is designed to guarantee
the unfettered exercise of those rights by strictly limiting the power
of government, whose authority is derived only from the consent of the
    governed; and

WHEREAS the Principles of Conservatism promote Liberty, Prosperity,
    and Individual Freedom; and

WHEREAS the leading presidential candidate for the Republican Party,
Senator John McCain, has consistently demonstrated a record of public
service counter to the philosophy and principles of conservatism and
the Republican Party as evidenced by the following facts:

    1. He has a consistent pattern of shocking verbal abuse, including
screaming profanities, against Senate Republican colleagues who oppose
his bills in any way; and

    2. He has authored the McCain Bill (1991) which ultimately increased
difficulty for P.O.W. and M.I.A. families to obtain information on
    their loved ones.

    3. He has succeeded to amend the Missing Service Personnel Act (1996)
with removal of penalties for anyone who destroys, covers up, or
withholds from P.O.W. families any information about a missing soldier.

    4. He has exercised scandalously poor judgment by intervening with the
federal regulators on behalf of Charles H. Keating, Jr. in the Savings
and Loan Crisis of the 1980s; and

    5. He has worked against the principles of the Republican Party,
promoting greatly expanding federal regulatory authority in order to
combat global warming in ways that would greatly burden the American
economy, contrary to free market forces; and

    6. He has fought the Republican Party to create the Patient?s Bill of
Rights, which allowed the government to impose a set of burdensome
    mandates on insurance coverage; and

    7. He has undermined the principles of a free market economy by voting
for an amendment that would authorize the Secretary of Health and
Human Services to implement price controls on prescription drugs under
    Medicare; and

    8. He has worked against the Republican Party to make a mockery of the
rule of law, promoting amnesty for 20 million illegal immigrants; and

    9. He has voted to subvert American Sovereignty by granting consulting
rights to Mexico concerning the erection of a southern border fence; and

    10. He has undermined the Constitution and opposed the Constitutional
duties of the Vice President to break a tie on judicial nominations; and

    11. He has worked against Conservative principles, undermining the
First Amendment by abridging the free speech of citizens partaking in
    the political process; and

    12. He has consistently led efforts undermining Second Amendment
    rights by promoting bills which regulate all sales at gun shows;
regulations which force gun-owners to purchase trigger locks, making
their firearms useless for self-defense; regulations which restrict
the legitimate transfer of firearms over the internet; and regulations
which extend the restrictions of the Brady bill to pawn shops and gun
    repair shops; and

    13. He has voted to use taxpayer funds to harvest stem cells from
    human embryos; and

    14. He has refused to take immediate and direct action to protect the
life of the unborn; he opposes the repeal of Roe v. Wade; and he
opposes a constitutional amendment to protect all human life; and

    15. He sponsored and voted for a 282% tax increase on cigarettes that
would have unconstitutionally violated the First Amendment and
increased the size of the federal bureaucracy exponentially by giving
the FDA unrestricted control over nicotine; and

    16. He supports raising Social Security taxes; and

    17. He has broken with the Republican Party in strongly opposing
President Bush's tax cuts in 2001 and 2003. He also joined leading
liberal senators in offering and voting for amendments designed to
    undermine the tax cuts,

    Excerpts from:

THE LIFE STORY OF ARIZONA'S MAVERICK SENATOR MCCAIN
    By BILL MULLER,
    The Arizona Republic
    October 3, 1999
    Section: Special Section
    Page: M3

In recent years, he's become a champion of campaign-finance reform. More than a decade ago, he took free trips to the Bahamas with savings and loan tycoon Charles Keating. He continues to take big money from interests before his committees.

He's amassed a rogues' gallery of troublemaking former pals - Keating, Gary Hart, John Tower, Fife Symington, Duke Tully - who hardly square with his ambitions as a reformer.

As a senator, he's pilloried tobacco companies, though his wife owes her personal millions to beer sales.

He has romanced the national press while warring with Arizona reporters.

He prides himself on his personal integrity yet admits he wasn't faithful to his first wife, Carol, who was injured in a horrific car accident while McCain was in Vietnam.

He courts the veteran vote yet is despised among veterans who believe there are still POWs alive in southeast Asia.

He was hawkish on Kosovo, yet as a freshman congressman, he opposed Reagan's sending of Marines to Lebanon...

While at the Naval Academy, McCain let some subjects slide, spending his time reading history and literature and, of course, howling at the moon. He graduated fifth from the bottom of his class.

McCain's sense of humor, sometimes indelicate, gets him in trouble. Back when he entered politics, he once referred to the Arizona retirement community of Leisure World as ''Seizure World.'' More recently, it was a crude joke about Chelsea Clinton that raised eyebrows.
