Ron Paul is critical of mass-amnesty legislation and adamantly opposed to providing food stamps and other taxpayer-funded benefits to illegals. He opposes birthright citizenship for the children of illegals, and favors deporting anyone who violates U.S. immigration law. Mr. Paul is harshly critical of the REAL ID Act — federal legislation aimed at preventing illegals from fraudulently obtaining driver's licenses and other forms of identification, depicting it as a plan to "stampede" Americans into giving up "constitutionally protected liberties."
Mitt Romney, as governor of Massachusetts, opposed providing driver's licenses to illegal aliens and vetoed legislation to provide in-state tuition to illegals. In December 2006, as he prepared to leave office, Mr. Romney signed a memorandum of agreement with the federal government allowing state law enforcement to assist the federal government apprehending immigration violators. As a presidential candidate, he now "opposes amnesty or any special path to citizenship for those here illegally" and says he opposed "each version of the McCain-Kennedy legislation as a form of amnesty." Mr. Romney's immigration plan includes provisions to reduce federal funding to sanctuary cities, improve interior enforcement, penalize businesses that hire illegals and end "chain migration" (the policy that says that if a child is born here, the entire family can come to the United States based on that child's citizenship.)

Ending chain migration is not the same thing as ending birthright citizenship. The parents of the anchor babies would still be here.

Our govt is 3 parts
The Judicial can end birthright
the Legislative can end birthright by an amend to the 14th
the president can't do squat to end it but offer an opinion that
means nothing

There's a bill in Congress right now to end birthright citizenship and it has a lot of co-sponsors. With a President's help, this bill could be moved along.

Its not going to happen in congress , How many hours of

how they operate ? , If such a bill did make it through one house
the other would kill it or it would be carved to pieces in the
markup process between house and senate ,
It would look like a birthright bill going in and come out the next
morning as a full amnesty
Unless you can get the libs and rinos out of congress it will never pass

So, we just give up and not fight this? You're pretty negative, Usa. Sorry, I don't share your views. We here at ALIPAC have shown we can do pretty much anything when we all gear up together.

However
I think the best way is to support the states like Arizona and Oklahoma and maybe getting a few more states on the bandwagon to cut off birth certs
to children of illegals
If a couple states fast track this it can get to the supreme court for a re interpretation of the 14th and possibly overturning it in our favor
If that fails then we still have the legislative process that is ongoing now to fall back on
No negativity here , just looking for the easiest fix the fastest way possible

I love you people to death for your passion on the issue and for your candidates , Even if I don't always agree with them
Sometimes you have to step back and look at the big picture
and the processes , the way things work and the probabilities
Figuring odds on a presidential race or a senate bill is not any
different than figuring odds on a football game in Vegas
You just add up the plus and minus columns and get your answer
