Day to Day, April 2, 2008 · The Bush administration says it'll bypass dozens of laws to finish construction of a fence along the Mexican border. Many landowners along the proposed fence line are upset about the government's plan.

Eloisa Tamez tells Madeleine Brand why she doesn't agree with the government's actions.

Then, Duncan Hunter, a Republican congressman from San Diego, explains why he supports the 670-mile barrier.

I listened to the story on the radio driving down the road just now.

Duncan Hunter did the 'counter' argument to the landowner (a 'Ms. Tamez'?) that was complaining about the DHS locating the fence on parts of her land at the US-Mexico border.

He did a GREAT rebuttal.

I would love to have heard that. Duncan knows first hand about this in his region.

I'm SICK of the environmentalist whacos who WHINE that the border fence would DAMAGE the ECOLOGY. WHAT on earth do they thing the ILLEGAL alien INVADERS are doing, with all the TRASH and BODY business they LEAVE BEHIND in OUR frontier wilderness?!
