Dear Faxer:

Senators Boxer and Gregg propose green cards for foreign national graduates

This new fax has been posted in your Action Buffet...

Senators Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.) and Judd Gregg (R-N.H.) introduced legislation (no bill number yet) that would exempt STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) graduates from permanent, employer-based visa caps.

Sen. Boxer's press release says that their bill will allow "foreigners who graduate from U.S. universities with advanced degrees in high tech fields to obtain green cards if they have jobs waiting for them here in the U.S."

Most of these foreign national graduates came to study in the U.S. with the understanding that they would apply what they have learned in their home countries, and not remain here to compete with American workers and graduates.

Please send this fax to Senators Boxer and Gregg that expresses disappointment in them for introducing legislation that will make it harder for Americans to make a living in STEM fields.

Be sure to edit your fax to make it as personal as possible.

Just sent my fax and alerted others to fight these green cards, which would displace even more Americans in tech and science.

You know, with the economy the way it is, along with all the other problems we have in this country, we have members of Congress who would rather spend their time representing foreign nationals instead of trying to come up with ways to better this country. They need their butts booted out!

Another related issue is:
Why are there so many foreign students in Masters and PhD programs in disciplines of science, technology and mathematics, which are critical to keeping the U.S. strong?

Each foreign student in a graduate program takes away a position from a qualified American, who possibly has at least some loyalty to this country.

Gregg might as well be a foreigner; he is such a F.A.
