OBAMA CHANGES EMMA LAZARUS POEM ON STATUE OF LIBERTY

Obama edits Emma Lazarus poem on Statue of Liberty

Here's the Obama version , according to the White House website:

Give me your tired, and your poor,

Your huddled masses yearning to be free ...

Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me,

I lift my lamp beside the golden door!

    And here's the Lazarus poem:

Give me your tired, your poor.

Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,

The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.

Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me,

I lift my lamp beside the golden door!

I'm surprised he didn't put it in Spanish!

In his immigration speech today, President Obama cited the most prominent symbol of America's immigrant tradition: The Statue of Liberty.

He also quoted famous lines from the Emma Lazarus poem inscribed at the base of the statue -- at least some of them.

Read on, and see if you can spot the difference (and we credit our friends at Politico for noticing this).

Here's Obama, according to the White House website:

Give me your tired, and your poor,

Your huddled masses yearning to be free ...

Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me,

I lift my lamp beside the golden door!

    And here's the Lazarus poem:

Give me your tired, your poor.

Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,

The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.

Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me,

I lift my lamp beside the golden door!

Yes, the president left out the section about "the wretched refuse of your teeming shore."

Politically correct? Or did he just overlook the line?

Who's bright idea was it to send us your "wretched refuse"?

And Obama's speech . . . Isn't it something to sit back and listen to this lightweight, double-talking b.s. artist trying to soft-soap the American people with his phony salesman routine. Guy wouldn't even make a decent door-to-door salesman. His lies and his double-talk aren't even slick. Totally transparent. Sickening.

P.S. They should put a new statement on the Statue of Liberty: "We reserve the right to refuse refuse from anywhere."

That plaque in the Statue of Liberty also has a note explaining it was what legal political refugee immigrants (like Lazarus was) thought upon first seeing the Statue of Liberty in the 1890's. It should also have the disclaimer "This is not official US immigration policy"

The full name of the statue is "Liberty Enlightening the World", in other words telling the world to follow our example, not come here and steal from us, notice Obama leaves that out.

    MEMO TO PATRIOTIC AMERICANS:

Attention all Americans who care about YOUR beloved homeland.

Do "not" expect Obama, and his administration (aka cohorts) to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.

In turn, "expect" everything that "we the people" have held near and dear to our patriotic hearts about OUR country to be twisted, bended, reformed, and transformed into something that it was never intended to stand for, be, and endure.

Expect more of the same, so educate EVERYONE YOU KNOW, and especially your children, grand children, and all of their children and spouses as to the truth about America, OUR heritage as patriots, and why "being a patriotic American of The UNITED States of America" is second only to our love for "the I AM" one and only God who created His universe, everyone, and everything.

    Thank you very much.

God "is" good and He "is" watching over and protecting us all - His revenge is complete and the best thing when it hits.
