Obama Civilian Security Force Takes Control of Immigrant Internment Camps: “Abide By Brown Shirts Law”

In the run up to the 2008 Presidential election Barack Obama promised he would work to implement a domestic security force which would rival that of the U.S. military. It was an idea heavily criticized by his opponents because of fears that such an organization would bear similarity to World War II era spying groups that policed the citizens of Nazi Germany.

Many dubbed Obama’s proposed force the “Brown Shirts,” a term often used to describe a Nazi assault force and one that has repeatedly been associated with extremist nationalists for their unwavering willingness to take and execute orders without question or contemplation. Brown shirt brigades were tasked with, among other things, arresting dissidents, silencing criticism and wholesale executions of those who could not be reeducated.
For the majority, the notion that such a force would be assembled in the United States was nothing but another conspiracy originating from the lunatic right wing. But in October of 2012 the Department of Homeland Security quietly graduated their first corp of civilian responders under the new program. And since then it is likely that thousands more have been trained and deployed across the country to be called upon in the event of an emergency.
And if there were ever an emergency that required a military level response in the United States, many believe it is happening right now on the Southern border as hundreds of thousands of migrants make their way illegally into America. Because of the sheer number of people heading to the U.S. and the complete failure, whether by chance or by design, of the Obama administration to secure the border, America is now faced with housing, feeding, clothing and providing medical care for more people than it was prepared to handle.
In response, rather than deploy Homeland Security or the National Guard to stop the migration at its source, the Administration has instead set up makeshift internment camps, some of which put scores of people in a room the size of a studio apartment. As a result, disease has spread and civilian emergency personnel have been tasked with providing care.
But among the doctors and caregivers is also a private security force that has been hired to keep the peace. And according to several people working inside the camps, the security groups have turned their attention not towards keeping peace between the migrants, but rather, at keeping the goings on of the facilities completely secret from the general public.
According to the unnamed source, who could not provide video documentation of these events because cell phones are not allowed in the facility, the security force is reportedly calling itself the “Brown Shirts.” The insider says they have been given orders to arrest anyone speaking to the public or using cell phones, and have implemented what is being referred to as “Brown Shirts Law.”
“There were several of us who wanted to talk about the camps, but the agents made it clear we would be arrested,” a psychiatric counselor told me.
“We were under orders not to say anything.”

The sources say security forces called themselves the “Brown Shirts.”
“It was a very submissive atmosphere,” the counselor said.

“Once you stepped onto the grounds, you abided by their laws – the Brown Shirt laws.”
She said the workers were stripped of their cellphones and other communication devices. Anyone caught with a phone was immediately fired.
“Everyone was paranoid,” she said. “The children had more rights than the workers.”
She said children in the camp had measles, scabies, chicken pox and strep throat as well as mental and emotional issues.
    Fox News via Drudge
The U.S. Government has spent billions of dollars preparing a wide variety of protocols to respond to domestic emergencies. In addition to the Brown Shirt security teams currently in operation at migrant internment camps, the government has also stockpiled billions of rounds of ammunition, rifles, riot gear, armored vehicles, military drones and is believed to have set up hundreds of detention camps around the country in anticipation of events ranging from widespread civil unrest to natural disasters.
In the event of an emergency, the President, having authorized himself by Executive Doomsday Order, will have access to military assets, law enforcement, homeland security, and now a civilian policing force that is, apparently, ready to perform its job without questioning their complicity in covering up the spread of disease and who knows what else.
FEMA camps, believed to exist as a last resort in case the government has to round up and detain tens of thousands of people under a martial law declaration, will require very similar logistics as the existing migrant internment camps.
Now we know that, should you ever reside in a detention camp, there will be no information making its way in or out unless the message has been officially approved for dissemination. Anyone who fails to follow the rules and abide by Brown Shirts Law could have their career destroyed, be arrested or worse yet, charged under terrorism laws that, as the Brown Shirts of old may have referred to it, allow for a “final solution.”

Government-Contracted “Brown Shirts” Threaten Medical Staff With Arrest If Talk About Contagion Threat From Illegals At Camps

    Contagion…coming to a city near you…

    Via Todd Starnes at Fox:

A government-contracted security force threatened to arrest doctors and nurses if they divulged any information about the contagion threat at a refugee camp housing illegal alien children at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas, sources say.
In spite of the threat, several former camp workers broke their confidentiality agreements and shared exclusive details with me about the dangerous conditions at the camp. They said taxpayers deserve to know about the contagious diseases and the risks the children pose to Americans. I have agreed to not to disclose their identities because they fear retaliation and prosecution.
“There were several of us who wanted to talk about the camps, but the agents made it clear we would be arrested,” a psychiatric counselor told me. “We were under orders not to say anything.”
The sources said workers were guarded by a security force from the Baptist Family & Children’s Services, which the Department of Health and Human Services hired to run the Lackland Camp.
The sources say security forces called themselves the “Brown Shirts.”
“It was a very submissive atmosphere,” the counselor said. “Once you stepped onto the grounds, you abided by their laws – the Brown Shirt laws.”

Fox News Bombshell: Secret Internment Camps and Obama’s “Brownshirts”

Posted on July 2, 2014 by Dean Garrison

Earlier today I posted a story by Mac Slavo that came via Todd Starnes’ article from Fox News. I want to post something again because this is so important. America has to wake up and they have to wake up now. There is no more time.
Alternative Media gets a bad rap for so-called conspiracy theory. It comes with the territory. For those of you who don’t know me, I run an independent blog called D.C. Clothesline. We are small and have no ad budget. So, in order to get site traffic I do a lot of sharing on social media. Whenever I share a story that doesn’t quite fit in with the mainstream media norm, I tend to get lots of critical comments. One of the most common comments I hear is something like, “This is a blog. This can’t be true. Until I hear it on Fox News it isn’t true.”
Well, I am here to tell you that it is time to wake up because Fox News is now on board.
People should not be shocked if they have been paying attention.
Supreme Court Justice Scalia recently warned of the return of internment camps on U.S. soil.
As for FEMA camps, if anyone would bother to research something called REX-84 they would find that Oliver North spearheaded an effort to make plans for internment of American citizens. If things go south, there are plans in place. Don’t fool yourself. Why wouldn’t the government have a contingency plan?
That isn’t conspiracy. It is common sense.
The latest revelation, however, is frightening beyond belief.
By this time you have likely heard of the contagious diseases coming into this country via the immigration disaster at the southern border.
But Todd Starnes reported earlier today that workers are being threatened with arrest if they open their mouths about this problem:
A government-contracted security force threatened to arrest doctors and nurses if they divulged any information about the contagion threat at a refugee camp housing illegal alien children at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas, sources say.
In spite of the threat, several former camp workers broke their confidentiality agreements and shared exclusive details with me about the dangerous conditions at the camp. They said taxpayers deserve to know about the contagious diseases and the risks the children pose to Americans. I have agreed to not to disclose their identities because they fear retaliation and prosecution.
What these workers additionally revealed is a much bigger story, in my opinion. These security officers are calling themselves “Brown Shirts.”
For those of you who do not know what the significance of “Brown Shirts” are, let’s see what Wikipedia has to say:
The Sturmabteilung (SA) (German pronunciation:[ˈʃtʊɐ̯mʔapˌtaɪlʊŋ] ( listen); Storm Detachment or Assault Division, or Brownshirts) functioned as the original paramilitary wing of the Nazi Party. It played a key role in Adolf Hitler’s rise to power in the 1920s and 1930s. Their main assignments were providing protection for Nazi rallies and assemblies, disrupting the meetings of the opposing parties, fighting against the paramilitary units of the opposing parties (especially the Rotfrontkämpferbund) and intimidating Slavic and Romani citizens, unionists and Jews (e.g. the Nazi boycott of Jewish businesses).
Please understand that thanks to a few conscientious whistleblowers, Barack Obama’s hand has been shown. Some might say that this is not Obama’s work, but rather the responsibility of the contractors.
This is how government officials cover their tracks. We saw evidence of this in Iraq when our government hired Blackwater, now Academi, to do the “dirty work” that they didn’t want connected to them. It’s a simple yet effective strategy of passing the buck.
This story did not originate on D.C. Clothesline.
Fox News is reporting that Barack Obama has a security force in place that is named after the original Nazi German paramilitary wing.
Why would they call themselves “Brown Shirts?”
Is it because they reportedly wear tan shirts? I doubt it. What kind of a sick joke would that be?
Think about it hard. They know the historical significance. Don’t kid yourself.
Do you think it might be time to start paying attention?
This administration is not concerned with “conspiracy theorists” because they know that they won’t have to discredit them. The useful idiots will do it for them, as I witness on a daily basis.
But when Fox News runs a story like this, perhaps you might want to start paying attention to what is happening around you.
What are you going to do when the “Brown Shirts” are running your camp and there is nowhere to run and no one to listen?
The time to prepare is now.
    Not tomorrow.
    Now.
Water, guns and ammo are most important. You can hunt for food if need be. As for the silver and gold thing…
If my family has only 50 gallons of fresh water left, no amount of precious metal is going to barter that away. Think about survival because an economic collapse is coming and when it does things could get really crazy.
Don't forget to follow the D.C. Clothesline on Facebook and Twitter. PLEASE help spread the word by sharing our articles on your favorite social networks.

“Brown Shirts” Block Congressman From Entering Immigrant Facility: “What Are They Trying To Hide?”

This is another outrage. If this happened to a Democratic Congressman when a Republican was President, can you imagine the outrage?

    Via Daily Caller:

An Oklahoma Congressman who visited an Army base being used to house illegal immigrant children now wonders what the federal government is hiding after he was denied access to the facility.
“There is no excuse for denying a Federal Representative from Oklahoma access to a federal facility in Oklahoma where unaccompanied children are being held,” Rep. Jim Bridenstine said in a statement following his visit Tuesday to Ft. Sill Army base near Lawton.
But when he showed up at the facility, Bridenstine says he was told by a guard with a security unit which calls itself the “Brown Shirts” that he could not observe the children or their living conditions.

The heavy security and limited access Bridenstine observed appears to be common at other HHS facilities. Besides using military bases to house UACs, HHS is exploring other non-military facilities throughout the country.
Fox News reported that staffers with the Baptist Family & Children’s Services, who call themselves the “Brown Shirts” on account of their tan t-shirts, stand watch at the Lackland camp. A counselor at the base there called the atmosphere “submissive” on account of the guards, who forbid contact between the immigrant children and outsiders.

Staff threatened with arrest if they talk about health problems at border refugee camps

    By: John Hayward
    7/2/2014 08:00 AM

Yesterday I expressed revulsion at the hideous Rep. Nancy Pelosi (R-CA) capering in delight over the political “opportunities” presented by the illegal alien refugee camps, stuffed full of unaccompanied minors, blossoming along our southern border. Correctly believing that getting across the border means lifetime U.S. residence under President Obama’s policies, a migratory wave from Central and South America is surging into hastily-constructed refugee centers, which basically leaves thousands of kids stored in warehouses. Not all of those kids make it to the United States alive, but people like Pelosi apparently think that’s a reasonable price to create a Cloward-Piven manufactured-crisis “opportunity” for the Democrat-Big Business amnesty axis. You certainly aren’t going to see them accepting any responsibility for the humanitarian horror their policies and political demands have unleashed, much less do anything that would actually stop it.
Now comes a new report from Todd Starnes at Fox News, which says the people who do make it across the border are facing dangerous conditions at the refugee camps… and medical staffers have been threatened with arrest if they talk about it. Keep in mind that all of this comes in the form of allegations from a small group of anonymous tipsters. Their stories are harrowing enough to warrant a thorough official investigation.

They call themselves the “Brown Shirts?” That’s never a good sign.
“It was not a good atmosphere in terms of health,” she said. “I would be talking to children and lice would just be climbing down their hair.”
A former nurse at the camp told me she was horrified by what she saw.
“We have so many kids coming in that there was no way to control all of the sickness – all this stuff coming into the country,” she said. “We were very concerned at one point about strep going around the base.”
A bit of the old cover-up razzle dazzle that wowed us all at the Department of Veterans Affairs ensued, with reports of scabies and lice at “epidemic” levels hushed up by officials. It’s remarkable how many departments of our titanic government seem to have gotten the idea that doctoring paperwork to make themselves look better is a sure-fire strategy during the Obama years, isn’t it? No wonder the number of Americans who believe their government is corrupt just keeps going up and up.
The nurse who talked to Starnes expressed horror that kids with such contagious issues were transported on charter buses and airplanes. They’re being driven and flown just about everywhere, except back to their countries of origin, as the illegal immigration wave is dispersed across the United States, making it even more difficult to reverse. As Starnes points out, that also means people who subsequently travel in those vehicles might be exposed to elevated public-health risks.
According to the counselor Starnes interviewed, the “breaking point” came when some of children at the camps became suicidal – I guess they didn’t see the “opportunity” that was so obvious to Nancy Pelosi – and the authorities refused to give them psychiatric care. She filed a report with Child Protective Services, quit her job, and started keeping a journal… which federal agents demanded she hand over. She’s understandably worried about reprisals for speaking out, which is something else the folks from the VA could tell her some stories about.
The response from agency management wasn’t so much a denial as a rundown of all the great systems they’ve got running at the refugee camps:
Baptist Family & Childen’s Services spokeswoman Krista Piferrer tells me the agency takes “any allegation of malfeasance or inappropriate care of a child very seriously.”
“There are a number of checks and balances to ensure children are receiving appropriate and adequate mental health care,” she said.
Piferrer said the clinicians are supervised by a federal field specialist from HHS’s Office of Refugee Resettlement. She also said BFCS have 58 medical professionals serving at Lackland.
“Every illness, whether it is a headache or something more serious, is recorded in a child’s electronic medical record and posted on WebEOC – a real-time, web-based platform that is visible to not only BFCS but the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services,” she said.
And we all know how well the Obama Administration handles electronic data, especially when it’s related to health care.
This should give us an idea of why President Obama wants to put taxpayers on the hook for a cool $2 billion in costs for dealing with the migration he invited, and underline the inevitability of that $2 billion as a mere starting point. The flood we’re seeing now will increase even more if Obama writes some more executive orders for amnesty, or House Republicans are intimidated and cajoled into offering an amnesty deal. Even if the influx of aliens started dropping off tomorrow, we’ve been given a humanitarian nightmare that isn’t going away any time soon.
There have already been reports of kids dying on the journey across the border, and the summer heat is going to make it worse. Other abuses may be visited on the young migrants by smugglers and corrupt officials as well. In a follow-up story about the 11-year-old Guatemalan boy found dead in the desert over the weekend – just a mile from the border he was trying to cross – Texas congressman Henry Cuellar, a Democrat, mentions hearing about the practice of renting children in order to increase an alien’s chances of being allowed to remain in the United States:
Cuellar says that as he was speaking to Customs and Border Patrol agents he was also discovering a disturbing trend of adults “renting” children in Central America in order to increase their chances of being able to stay in the U.S. once they cross over.
“I was talking to somebody that worked for Border Patrol, and he said that in the late 80′s there were a lot of kids from El Salvador coming in and what they were doing is they had a ‘rent-a-kid’ program.” says Cuellar “In other words they said ‘oh if I come in and I have a kid with me they’ll let me go.” And the Border Agent told him “Henry, I’m seeing this again, I cannot believe it.”
“This is a phenomenon that has gone on for years if not decades,” says George Grayson a Professor of Latin American Politics at William & Mary “As far as I know they pay the families (and remember these economies are in sad shape) and therefore to get maybe a few hundred dollars you’re willing to give up your 7th or 8th child.”
Cuellar says the inbound traffic across the border “has not ebbed at all,” yielding 1,200 to 1,500 arrests by the Border Patrol per day, with 20 to 30 percent of them unaccompanied minors. It’s long past time that the humanitarian cost of fiddling with open-borders policy is clearly spelled out, and laid at the feet of those who made this human wave happen. Not only should the President and his ideological fellow travelers be held accountable for what they have done, but it’s essential for all of us to remember the human cost of a porous border and lax immigration enforcement, before the next big push for “comprehensive immigration reform” splashes across the front pages.
Update: People are starting to wake up to what President Obama is doing to their communities. When the latest shipment of illegal aliens from Texas arrived in Murrieta, California, they were met by protesters. Three busloads of illegals were turned back when the protesters refused police orders to disperse.
It’s a somewhat futile exercise, because they were simply transported to a different Border Patrol station in the San Diego area and released from there, and the Reuters report on the incident mentions more “undocumented families with children” rolling into another nearby processing center without incident. But it’s a sign that the populace is growing uneasy about the migration wave sweeping not just into Texas, but across the nation.
As for the unpleasant tone of some of the protest signs, such as “Go home – we don’t want you here,” the people who manufactured this illegal immigration crisis are to blame for the hard feelings it has produced. The very definition of citizenship involves not wanting people who have not completed the lawful immigration procedure to settle in your country. It’s not a good development when citizens feel the need to express that principle in such blunt terms, but the politicians who filled those planes and buses are the architects of this crisis, not the people angrily responding to their actions.
Of course, if those angry reactions are used by the media to marginalize the Americans who object to the open-borders catastrophe they never voted for, it must be considered a successful side effect of the Cloward-Piven strategy – that is, another aspect of using a manufactured crisis to overwhelm existing systems, to force a political agenda upon people who never would have voted for it.
Update: There have been reports that several of the illegals caught while trying to surf the human wave coming over our border are on the terrorist watch list. The national security crisis we’re confronting is as troubling as the health crisis.
Update: Texas governor Rick Perry urged President Obama to visit the border areas in his state on Wednesday, saying that “if the President of the United States is really serious about securing that border, we can show him how to do that… but I haven’t even had a phone call from this President.” It should be easy for Obama to pay that visit, since he’s already in Texas for some fundraisers. Maybe Governor Perry should try throwing together a mini-golf course next to the refugee camps and telling the President he can shoot a round after he takes the tour.
Update: Rep. Jim Bridenstine (R-OK) tried to visit the refugee center housing 1,200 unaccompanied alien children at Ft. Sill on Tuesday. (Oklahoma is a “border state” now. Every state is a border state. That’s the point of all this. And evidently “unaccompanied alien children” or UACs is the official designation now.)
Bridenstine was denied access to the facility, which is actually run by our ultra-competent public servants at the Department of Health and Human Services. Local news KRMG reports on the incident:
Congressman Bridenstine said, “There is no excuse for denying a Federal Representative from Oklahoma access to a federal facility in Oklahoma where unaccompanied children are being held. Any Member of Congress should have the legal authority to visit a federal youth detention facility without waiting three weeks.”
The Health and Human Services (HHS) official who appears to be in charge of the facility told Congressman Bridenstine he could schedule an appointment for July 21. HHS Deputy Director of the Office of Public Affairs, Ken Wolfe, would not take the Congressman’s phone call. The Congressman was told to send Mr. Wolfe an email as that was the preferred method of communication. Congressman Bridenstine’s email to Mr. Wolfe included this press release.
“After my visit today with the base commander, I approached the barracks where the children are housed. A new fence has been erected by HHS, completely surrounding the barracks and covered with material to totally obscure the view. Every gate is chained closed.
“I approached a security guard and asked to speak with the manager of the facility. The guard called his supervisor who said no visitors were allowed. I asked if they were aware that I am a Member of Congress. Eventually the manager came out and said that I would have to go through HHS legislative affairs and that the first chance to visit would be July 21st.
What are they trying to hide? Do they not want the children to speak with Members of Congress? As a Navy pilot, I have been involved in operations countering illicit human trafficking. I would like to know to whom these children are being released.”
There are two other UAC shelters on military bases, at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas and Naval Base Ventura County in California, according to the Defense Department website. Let’s see if the people’s representatives can get access to one of those.

Doctor’s Threatened With Jail For Warning Of Health Crisis In Immigrant Camps

    Videos at the page link:

The situation at the border keeps getting more and more strange.
Now doctors are speaking out on condition of anonymity that they were threatened with arrest if they tried to warn the public about health concerns related to the influx of immigrants.
Did this threat come from the Government directly, or Border Patrol agents? No. It was handed down by contracted security.
Remember the article about the Government job posting for all the illegals? Well this company is at least one of the companies that was awarded that contract.
Baptist Children and Family Services are running these camps and apparently go around calling themselves “Brown Shirts”.
This immediately makes everyone’s ears perk up because of the obvious Nazi connotation those words have.
They have to be aware of this right? We wouldn’t typically expect this fascistic behavior from an organization with “Baptist” in the name, but there it is.
Although on their website they look pretty harmless

There have been numerous allegations made that the workers at these camps are extremely demanding, and that communicable diseases are running rampant at the camps.
Wanting to report the facts the best we can, we contacted the contracting company ourselves and received a statement from them:
For 70 years, BCFS has provided high-quality care for children, families and communities in, operating with the greatest level of transparency and integrity. Our team is comprised of professional emergency management and health care professionals, and the safety and security of those in our care are protected by off-duty commissioned law enforcement officers.
In response to misinformation reported in the news, here are the facts about the care being provided for children at Lackland Air Force Base:
§ Protection and Privacy of Children. The children at Lackland Air Force Base are under the conservatorship of the federal government and, like any child in foster care, their personal information is private. As a result, all persons involved in providing care and service to the children must agree to protect the identities and health records of the children in our care, just as any hospital or childcare operation requires. Breaching personal health information or professional standards of care or ethics is unacceptable and grounds for dismissal.
Contrary to allegations by anonymous former employees of our temporary staffing agency, none of our Lackland shelter professionals have been arrested or threatened with arrest for any activities related to shelter operations.
§ Health Screenings & Illnesses. The children cared for at Lackland are ALL medically screened and immunized based on CDC guidelines on vaccinations. If a child feels ill, he or she is taken to an on-site clinic, staffed with a pediatric ER physician as well as mid-level providers, nurses, paramedics and a pharmacy tech.
To date, 119 children have been treated for lice, 22 children have been treated for scabies, and 1 child was sent and admitted to a local children’s hospital where they were diagnosed with the H1N1 Flu. The most common illnesses seen at Lackland are fever, headache, upper respiratory colds, and ingrown toenails (another result of the children’s travels from Central America).
§ Multiple Layers of Behavioral Health Resources Consultation. A 16-person team of mental health clinicians are currently assigned to the Lackland shelter and have direct access to a psychologist for consultation 24/7. Clinicians are supervised closely by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services – Office of Refugee Resettlement Federal Field Specialist, who ultimately has decision making authority regarding all health and mental health matters.
The same is the case for medical care. Every illness, whether it is a headache or something more serious, is recorded in a child’s electronic medical record and posted on WebEOC – a real-time, web-based platform providing epidemiological tracking of all clinic visits is visible to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and state health authorities.
At BCFS’ request, Metro Health (the local health authority for San Antonio), Department of State of Health Services, and U.S. Public Health authorities have inspected our facility and had access to freely converse with our medical staff and children.
§ Communication. Similar to standards in crisis centers and schools, staff are not permitted to have their cell phones on the shelter premises in order to protect the safety and privacy of the children we are serving. Additionally, we want our staff’s full focus to be on the children and operational activities while they are on duty. To ensure rapid and effective workplace communication, all staff are given two-way radios and access to land lines throughout the shelter.
§ Professional Security. To protect the children and staff, security is provided by off-duty law enforcement officers. Our incident management team personnel (whose uniform includes khaki shirts and navy pants) have extensive training in the National Incident Management System and all-hazards response. These personnel serve in various roles to support the coordination of the operation and logistical requirements and primarily have first responder backgrounds, such as emergency management, fire service, and medical services. Also, all personnel at the shelter actually wear a colored shirt or vest to denote their particular role and responsibility. For example, child care personnel wear blue shirts, medical personnel wear gold vests, and custodial personnel wear gold shirts. This procedure is common practice not only for emergency response operations, but in many work environments so as to be able to readily identify a person’s role where large numbers of people are present.
Since operations at Lackland Air Force began on 18 May, numerous officials from the state and federal government, health care agencies, faith-based organizations and the news media have visited the site, including members of Congress and the Texas Legislature; the Secretaries of Homeland Security and Health and Human Services; local, state and public health authorities; medical professionals; the Texas Attorney General; military leaders; Department of Defense officials; child defense attorneys; and the Archbishop of San Antonio and other pastors. Media was also provided a full tour of the facility on 5 June, and reported on their accounts of the clean, safe operations at the Lackland shelter.

In a tense public situation like this BCFS is going to refute the claims. That’s the downside of anonymous claims like this, anyone can claim anything on anonymity.
Also, BCFS, claims these statements were made by former employees who left on bad terms. Some would call these people whistle blowers.
Without conclusive video evidence that this is indeed the case, we can’t say one way or the other that this is happening at all.
The one interesting thing BCFS revealed in their conversation is that they refer to the influx of immigrants as, “The Surge”. This phrasing brings to mind the Iraq surge, or something militaristic.
But as these minors are being shipped across the country by bus and airplane, a very good point is raised in regards to the spread of disease and public health at large.
Make of it what you will.
