Obama Has Nearly 20 Million Fake Twitter Followers While Majority of Real People Disapprove of President

President Barack Obama has nearly 37 million followers on his Twitter account. As it turns out, 19.5 million of those followers are fake. 53% of Obama’s Twitter followers are fake accounts. The president, who claimed in February of 2013 that his administration was “the most transparent in history”, to no one’s real surprise, has a whole mess of fake Twitter accounts. It comes as no surprise because several months following Obama’s bold claim of being the most transparent administration in history, a man by the name of Edward Snowden started leaking documents making things really transparent. Way too transparent for the president.

Calling the NSA’s massive data collection a “modest encroachments on privacy” the president has transparently flip-flopped on the issue claiming he had a “healthy skepticism” upon entering office, but now wants to assure the public who has shown a healthy skepticism of the NSA program that it is fine since he is the president. Apparently what he meant by “most transparent in history” is that your cell phone records and emails are the most transparent in history. In terms of Edward Snowden, Obama has had him charged with three felonies, two of them in regards to espionage. Yet, when the president first took office, his White House transition team created a website change.gov. In a page called ethics-agenda, he has this to say about whistle-blowers:

• Protect Whistleblowers: Often the best source of information about waste, fraud, and abuse in government is an existing government employee committed to public integrity and willing to speak out. Such acts of courage and patriotism, which can sometimes save lives and often save taxpayer dollars, should be encouraged rather than stifled. We need to empower federal employees as watchdogs of wrongdoing and partners in performance. Barack Obama will strengthen whistleblower laws to protect federal workers who expose waste, fraud, and abuse of authority in government. Obama will ensure that federal agencies expedite the process for reviewing whistleblower claims and whistleblowers have full access to courts and due process.

Surprisingly, the link provided was up, and it had been up and accessible for years until recently, when the above quoted bullet point became a political liability and then all of a sudden the site disappeared. Reddit reported the disappearance, policymic reported it, and PJMedia reported it. Perhaps the Obama team that took the pages down, after being busted put them back up and maybe the link I provided above will be broken tomorrow, who knows? It’s transparency for the modern age! Maybe by tomorrow Obama’s Twitter fake Twitter followers will transparently disappear and maybe the rivers will flow with chocolate milk and the clouds taste of cotton candy. Maybe the “modest encroachment on privacy” the president has sold us after his skepticism of NSA spying fell ill, is just what the doctor ordered and maybe the masses truly do approve of this president and maybe tomorrow even more people will buy into the fact that quantitative easing is not really fake money.
