President Obama spoke warmly about Islam during his speech at a mosque today, highlighting the contributions that Muslims had made to the fabric of American society.

“Islam has always been part of Ame
rica,” he said, detailing the beginnings of the religion among African slaves brought to America. He also pointed out that Thomas Jefferson wrote in the Virginia statute for religious freedom that the “Mohammedan” should have his faith protected in the United States.

Obama met with Muslim leaders during a visit to the Islamic Society of Baltimore, before delivering a speech there. This is Obama’s first visit to a mosque as president – although George W. Bush also visited a mosque in New York City after the attacks of 9/11.

During his speech, he praised the religion for being a religion of peace – not the hate preached by groups like ISIS.

“The very word Islam comes from ‘Salam’ – peace,” he said. “The standard greeting is ‘As-Salaam-Alaikum’ – ‘Peace be upon you,’” he explained. “Like so many faiths, Islam is rooted in a commitment to compassion and mercy and justice and charity. “Whoever wants to enter paradise, the prophet Mohammad taught, let him treat people the way he would love to be treated,” he said as the audience applauded.

“For Christians like myself, I’m assuming that sounds familiar,” he continued.

Obama has frequently defended Muslim Americans – even meeting with leaders at private event at the White House last year. This is the biggest public display of support for the Muslim American community – cited by White House aides as a response to the anti-refugee and anti-Muslim rhetoric on the campaign trail from Republicans like Donald Trump.

Obama reminded the audience that political opponents of Thomas Jefferson accused him of being a Muslim. “So I was not the first,” he said lightly as the audience laughed. “It’s true. Look it up. I’m in good company.”

Obama pointed out that the founding fathers also supported the religion of Islam.

“Jefferson and John Adams had their own copies of the Koran,” he said. “Benjamin Franklin wrote, that even if the Mufti of Constantinople were to send a missionary to preach to us, he would find a pulpit at his service.”

He also recalled the history of mosques in America – pointing out that the oldest surviving mosque was in Iowa and that the first American mosque was built in North Dakota.

Obama also urged Christians to defend Muslim-Americans when their religion was under attack.

“If we’re serious about freedom of religion – and I’m speaking now to my fellow Christians, who remain the majority in this country – we have to understand, an attack on one faith is an attack on all our faiths,” he said.

He demanded that Americans stop profiling Muslims and treating them differently because of their faith – criticizing political rhetoric for inflaming hatred against the Muslim community.

“We have to reject a politics that seeks to manipulate prejudice or bias and targets people because of religion,” he said.

He specifically addressed young Muslim Americans, urging them not to grow cynical.

“Let me say it as clearly as I can, as President of the United States, you fit in here. Right here. You’re right where you belong. You’re part of America too,” he said.

As Obama concluded his speech, he said, “May God’s peace be upon you and God Bless the United States of America.”

Obama was introduced by a young woman named Sabah: “This visit by our president is an affirmation to all Muslims: we are just as American as any other,” she said.

What The Founders Thought About Islam, In Their Own Words

    BY KEITH FARRELL -

President Obama has continually asserted that Islam was “woven into the fabric” of the United States since its founding. Obama claims that Muslims have made significant contributions to building of this nation. The claim is laughable to anyone who has studied US history. Historian David Barton spoke to Glenn Beck and tore the president’s claims apart.

Barton found the first real contribution any Muslim made was in 1856 (80 years after the founding) when then Secretary of War Jefferson Davis hired one Muslim to help train camels in Arizona. Not exactly a resounding contribution, since the plan to fight Native Americans via camelback was soon dismissed.

But Muslims did have an influence on early America, and that influence was one of a foe. After winning its independence from England, American vessels no longer enjoyed British protection. France, dismayed that the US would not aid it in its war against England, also ceased protection of American ships. The result led to American vessels being raided and plundered by Muslim pirates from the Barbary Coast.

After agreeing to pay 10% of the new nations dismal GDP in exchange for passage, attacks continued. Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, and Benjamin Franklin were sent as representatives to mediate the problem. It was there that they discovered that the Islamic law the pirates followed made it their duty to attack non-Muslims.

“The ambassador answered us that [the right] was founded on the Laws of the Prophet, that it was written in their Koran, that all nations who should not have answered their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon them wherever they could be found, and to make slaves of all they could take as prisoners, and that every Mussulmanwho should be slain in battle was sure to go to Paradise,” Jefferson wrote to Secretary of State John Jay, explaining peace was not possible.

Ben Franklin wrote of his experience: “Nor can the Plundering of Infidels be in that sacred Book (the Qur’an) forbidden, since it is well known from it, that God has given the World, and all that it contains, to his faithful Mussulmen, who are to enjoy it of Right as fast as they conquer it.”

John Adams, in his report to Jay, wrote of the Muslim prophet Muhammad, and called him a “military fanatic” who “denies that laws were made for him; he arrogates everything to himself by force of arms.”

By the time Jefferson became president the Barbary coast was extorting 25% of US GDP and attacks were still occurring.

Jefferson wasted no time in signing a war powers request which launched the US’s entire naval fleet to wage war on the Barbary pirates. Jefferson saw the fleet off, ordering the US sailors to chase the pirates all the way to Tripoli, giving rise to the famed verse from the US Marines’ anthem.President Obama is correct when he says that Muslims shaped this country, just not in how he means. They provided the context and need for the US Marines and provided our first lesson in battling extremism: It cannot be appeased. Extremism must be routed out through force.

Obama Visits Radical Mosque… Drops 5-Word Bombshell That Will Give You Chills

    2/3/16 Ben Marquis

In a move that shocked, dismayed and angered many Americans, President Barack Obama made his first official visit to a “peaceful” Islamic mosque on U.S. soil Wednesday.

According to WDSU, Obama traveled outside of the D.C. Beltway to pay a visit to the Islamic Society of Baltimore, where he delivered a speech to the gathered attendees.

Muslim Americans keep us safe,” Obama proclaimed, going on to describe the many roles that some Muslim Americans play in many of our nation’s communities. “They are our police. They are our firefighters. They’re in (the Department of) Homeland Security.”

Obama proceeded to reiterate his assertion that Muslims have made great contributions to American society since its inception and slammed Republican presidential candidates like billionaire businessman Donald Trump for their tough rhetoric regarding radical Islamic terrorism.

“We’ve seen an alarming willingness on the part of some Republicans to try to marginalize law-abiding, patriotic Muslim Americans,” claimed White House press secretary Josh Earnest on Tuesday in a preview of the president’s comments at the mosque.

“It’s just offensive to a lot of Americans who recognize that those kinds of cynical political tactics run directly contrary to the values that we hold dear in this country. And I think the president is looking forward to the opportunity to make that point,” Earnest added.

Unfortunately for Obama and Earnest, not all Muslim Americans keep us safe, as evidenced by the horrific events in Chattanooga and San Bernardino, as well as the fact that the FBI has more than 1,000 open investigations into Islamic State group activity in the U.S.

Some Muslim Americans are indeed doing their worst to make America rather unsafe.
Also, it is not “cynical political tactics” for Americans to express concern about the very real threat posed by those who hold religious beliefs that “run directly contrary to the values” and culture we embrace in America.

Furthermore, very few people are attempting to “marginalize law-abiding, patriotic Muslim Americans” who have embraced America and American culture.

Instead, they seek to marginalize and shun those Muslims who flatly reject our way of life and are attempting to usurp it and make it more Islamic.

Finally, the mosque that Obama chose to attend is no squeaky-clean image of pure Americana, but instead has ties to radical Muslims and terrorist-affiliated groups like the Muslim Brotherhood.

Obama’s efforts at blatant pandering to the relatively small population of Muslim Americans proves once again that he is ignorant of the valid concerns shared by many American citizens regarding radical Islam and is blindly naive to the very real danger posed by radicalized jihadists.

Obama is once again dismissing the concerns of the vast majority of American citizens by pandering to Muslims in America.

The victories of these early American armed forces are immortalized by a stanza of the “Marines’ Hymn” which refers to the “shores of Tripoli.
The Muslim ambassador’s response was, “It was … written in their Quran, that all nations who should not have acknowledged Islam’s authority were sinners, that it was their … duty to make war upon them … and to make slaves of all they could take as prisoners.”

Barton argues it was this shocking response that drove both Adams and Jefferson to seek out their own copies of the Islamic holy book.

“They both individually wanted to know,” Barton said. “They were not placated by platitudes from one side or the other. They wanted to see for themselves. For them, it was a self-evident fact that when you read the Quran, you’ll see why they behave the way they do.”
Yes they had a copy to read for themselves where this ugliness has roots. O turns that into they liked, revered the book. It is one sickening thing after another w O - go back to the bath house in chicago Barry.

Obama Just Claimed Muslims Build the “Very Fabric of Our Nation”

By: Michael Cantrell on July 29, 2014

President Obama has said some pretty unbelievable things since moving into the White House, a good example being, “If you like your current plan, you can keep it.”

The latest goofy remark to come from the president further exposes his support and connection to the Islamic faith, as he recently gave thanks to Muslims for “building the very fabric of our nation.”

It seems President Obama, despite having a Harvard education and being a self-professed constitutional scholar needs a bit of a history lesson.

If one researches how this nation was built, it’s clear that the Founders didn’t get any of their ideas on republican style government from the Koran, as Islam is very much the antithesis of freedom and liberty.

According to Red Flag News, the president released a statement offering “warmest wishes” to Muslims celebrating Eid-al-Fitr, in which he praised Muslim Americans for their contributions to the nation.
“As Muslims throughout the United States and around the world celebrate Eid-al-Fitr, Michelle and I extend our warmest wishes to them and their families. This last month has been a time of fasting, reflection, spiritual renewal, and service to the less fortunate. While Eid marks the completion of Ramadan, it also celebrates the common values that unite us in our humanity and reinforces the obligations that people of all faiths have to each other, especially those impacted by poverty, conflict, and disease.

In the United States, Eid also reminds us of the many achievements and contributions of Muslim Americans to building the very fabric of our nation and strengthening the core of our democracy. That is why we stand with people of all faiths, here at home and around the world, to protect and advance their rights to prosper, and we welcome their commitment to giving back to their communities.
On behalf of the Administration, we wish Muslims in the United States and around the world a blessed and joyous celebration. Eid Mubarak.”

This shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone, seeing as how Obama financially supports the Hamas terrorist organization, frees radical Islamists from Gitmo on a regular basis, and in general, seems to do whatever he can to be “inclusive” and “tolerant” of these heavily ideologically twisted individuals.

While many Muslim Americans have contributed in positive ways to our society, it hardly constitutes “building the fabric of our nation.” Much of the country was founded by Christians and built upon Christian principles and values, yet Obama will never sing their praises the way he does Muslims.

The president has proven that he’s a terrorist sympathizer and he continues to surrender more and more of our heritage and values over to radicals. He’s a lawbreaker and a threat to the country, which is why the fight to have him impeached must continue on.
