obama Wants To RAMP UP Admittance Of Syrian Refugees

98% of the 10k admitted so far are SUNNI MUSLIMS - excuse me but is that because the saudis ordered that? It is not just a certain religion but a particular version of one religion that is allowed to become part of the future of the USA and ensuring the spread of islamist that follow & will demand sharia law.....hmmm.......

WH: Obama Wants to 'Ramp Up' Commitment to Admitting Syrian Refugees

    By Susan Jones | August 30, 2016 | 6:06 AM EDT

Five members of the Jouriyeh family will soon be living in the United States. These Syrian refugees fled to Jordan, where they have been vetted and approved for admission as part of the State Department's resettlement efforts. (AP Photo)

(CNSNews.com) - President Obama is "gratified" that his administration has succeeded in meeting its goal of admitting 10,000 Syrian refugees to the United States this fiscal year, and he "certainly would like to see the United States continue to ramp up our commitment," spokesman Josh Earnest told reporters on Monday.

As CNSNews.com reported on Monday, 10,126 Syrian refugees have been admitted to the United States for Fiscal 2016, of whom 52 -- or 0.51 percent -- are Christians; and 9,945 -- or 98.2 -- percent, are Sunni Muslims.

"And the truth is that this administration did succeed in meeting this goal, a significant ramping up of the number of Syrian refugees to the United States. And we're able to do all of that without cutting any corners when it comes to security," Earnest said.

"And a significant screening was put in place to ensure that these individuals don't pose an undue threat to our national security. That's the kind of screening that every refugee applicant is subjected to.

"And we're able to meet this goal without cutting any of those corners. So the president is gratified that we have succeeded in meeting this goal."

Earnest said the president would like to see the United States "continue to expand our ambition" when it comes to responding to Syria's humanitarian crisis. He noted that the U.S. already has provided more humanitarian assistance than any other country. "And we certainly are playing an important role here in accepting refugees from that conflict," Earnest added, although the number of refugees taken in by the United States falls far short of the tally in European country.

"The United States is obviously in a different place, literally, than countries in Europe," Earnest explained. "The United States is separated by a large ocean when it comes to these refugees. And so the situation that we face is different when it comes to this set of refugees.

"And the president does believe it's important for the United States to do our part. That's why we increased our ambition and admitted 10,000 Syrian refugees this fiscal year. But I think the president certainly would like to see the United States continue to ramp up our commitment."

Earnest said people who complain that the United States has taken in "too many" or not enough Syrian refugees "are playing politics," whereas President Obama is just "focused on doing the right thing."

A reporter asked Earnest, "How would you reassure people who are concerned about maybe some radicalized person getting through, that you were able to do this safely, given that the process is generally considered to be a two-year vetting process?"
"This is a process that typically does take quite a bit of time," Earnest agreed. He said a number of refugees "were already in the pipeline" when President Obama committed the United States to accepting 10,000 of them.

"And essentially, what the Obama administration was able to do, was to mobilize resources, both within the intelligence community, within the Department of Homeland Security, to do things like deploy more officers to conduct interviews.

"You'll recall that this vetting of refugee applicants involves collecting biometric information, doing in-person interviews, doing background checks, running their information through a variety of national security and international databases. And a lot of that just requires personnel and expertise.

"And President Obama made this a priority. You'll recall when the president made this commitment, he made clear that we weren't going to cut corners when it comes to security, and that in order to meet this higher threshold, it was going to require not shortchanging the security steps, but actually increasing the resources that are being deployed to our security.

"And that's exactly what we've done. And the president is gratified that even in the face of a lot of doubt, this is a goal that was met a month ahead of schedule. OK?"
    Resettlement
The State Department has cooperative agreements with nine domestic agencies to resettle refugees. "While some of the agencies have religious affiliations, they are not allowed to proselytize," the department says.

Those nine domestic resettlement agencies place refugees in about 190 communities throughout the United States. Many of the Syrian refugees have gone to Michigan and California.

Refugees are provided with a furnished apartment, "climate-appropriate clothing, and some of the food typical of the refugee’s culture," the State Department says.

"Shortly after arrival, refugees are helped to start their lives in the United States. This includes applying for a Social Security card, registering children in school, learning how to access shopping facilities, arranging medical appointments, and connecting refugees with needed social or language services."

The Department of State’s Reception and Placement program provides assistance for refugees to settle in the United States, including a one-time sum per refugee to assist with meeting expenses during a refugee’s first few months in the United States. Most of these funds go toward the refugees’ rent, furnishings, food, and clothing.

The Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of Refugee Resettlement works through the states and other nongovernmental organizations to provide longer-term cash and medical assistance, as well as language, employment, and social services.

Refugees receive employment authorization upon arrival and are encouraged to become employed as soon as possible. Based on years of experience, the U.S. refugee resettlement program has found that people learn English and begin to function comfortably much faster if they start work soon after arrival. Most refugees begin in entry-level jobs, even if they have high-level skills or education. With time, many if not most refugees move ahead professionally and find both success and satisfaction in the United States.

After one year, refugees are required to apply for permanent residence (a green card) and after five years in the United States, a refugee is eligible to apply for U.S. citizenship.

I saw a car on the road the other day, driving slowly. When I passed it I saw the female driver had a Muslim headress on. Just like hoodies that are stretched out, these can block a driver's vision. I'll bet this turns into a common problem. Some of them have rather large scarfs behind their heads.

When I was in Orlando this spring, I saw a woman with the full head/face covering with just her eyes showing. She was pulling out of the gas station, driving an SUV. I have to admit, it seemed kind of creepy and I also thought it would obstruct her vision. I didn't really think it was safe.

Obama wants to "ramp up" the "fundamental transformation" of America. He has been doing a very good job going in that direction. The refugees are a big help. Flooding the nation with third world individuals who come with incompatible ideas and cultures, being deliberate in where you plant them, he and friends have thought this through.

Republicans are effectively doing nothing to stop the destruction.

Georgia Peach your observation about Republicans is spot on. Essentially, the more people we have in this country the more their businesses will profit, or their land holdings go up in value. When they speak up at commission hearings they are just as angry and unhinged as anyone else.

I see this locally, because even though they protest what our city government is doing to increase the population by 50 percent, and they live in the suburbs and get taxed for it...they are in businesses like real estate that will sooner or later benefit from the city policies. They make a lot of noise, sometimes, but will stand to benefit anyway. Meanwhile our city is getting crazier and crazier. Lots of people on bicycles in the summer, often oblivious to auto traffic; you have to watch out for them. More pedestrians walk out into traffic these days. And I see a lot more broken glass, usually close to the curb but you really have to watch it. And I also see specks of glass all over the place when the sun hits it. Our city bureau of transportation seems to accept no responsibility for the STRESS of these changes. They have a war on cars, although in winter the cyclists disappear anyway.

Our county government has the same kind of people----they hate Christians and conservatives. But no....you can't get local Republicans together to do anything---like make ethics complaints---because they are too "busy." If you do find a conservative lawyer he or she has a very narrow focus----usually property rights and things like charter schools.

One other thing, around here it is mostly small businesses that employ illegal aliens. This is another darling group of the GOP. I'm glad that the Tea Party faction is pushing against this. What is frustrating is that the anti-illegal immigration groups don't seem to know how to capitalize on their success. We have had the public with us, which is quite remarkable! But then the big bad libs figure out how to flummox this trend, and it falls apart.

They use the phony "race card", that's how they've always stopped US. It won't work this time, because Trump isn't afraid of being called a racist, even though he isn't one, he doesn't care if they call him a racist, a bigot, a Hitler, a Mussolini, a xenophobe, misogynist or Islamaphobe. He knows he's none of these things, he knows his supporters are none of these things either, and he knows he's right on the policies. So what does he do? Well, he does the right things, he calls Hillary a BIGOT, calls the Democrat Party, the REAL RACISTS, flies to Mexico on a dime, starts cutting a good deal with Mexico on immigration and trade and tells the Mexican people directly that Mexicans are hard-working amazing people.

The Libtard Crap won't work this time. THIS TIME, they've met their match with a guy who has more temperament, stamina, toughness, courage, decency, and loyalty to the American People than all the Yella-Bellied Libtard Sell-outs combined, plus he is experienced, intelligent and competent to fix our country and solve these problems.

The globalists' mission to make us all live like 3rd world countries and/or china with wall to wall people is so they can have more consumers = $$$$.

Sell our precious wildlife habitat resulting in their extinction (how extraordinarily selfish to eliminate species for profits), our national wilderness area treasures to toxic, polluting, reckless, greedy profiteers and/or housing for the extra millions of populace. What will they do when our waters, air, lands are spoiled and unfit for use. the more pesticides, the more animal agriculture and all its toxic runoffs will destroy more and more water supplies.

We are on the way to bottoming out as America is being bought and sold to foreigners and their ways. the more population, the more consumers. We will die in a toxic land for the $$$$ glut of big businesses.

Teddy Roosevelt & our founding fathers are turning in their graves as they knew all to well that our laws to assimilate to American ways, to honor only the American flag, speak in the English language, were for a reason - so we can be what we are "America" - foreigners are to assimilate, not the other way around; but of course for monies we are sold out!

What actually happened here, Judy, was we had succeeded in a ballot initiative to overturn the legislature's award of driving privileges. And it succeeded 2 to 1! Very remarkable! So the next plan was to put an E Verify requirement out to voters, which likely would have succeeded well, too. However, the S of S office wrote a confusing and misappropriate ballot title. Still, the vote might have succeeded even with this deliberate smokescreen from the liberal state office. The petition organizers decided to not accept that, and went to the state supreme court---and won. But they also lost critical signature gathering time, so now this question will not appear on the statewide ballot.

This is political streetfighting! Be warned because now that is their strategy nationwide. We also have recently had misuse of emergency clauses by the liberal legislature. And then, one of their organizations bought off the signature gathering company that would have placed this question on the statewide ballot, too. This is guttural, despicable streetfighting. I'm not necessarily referring to these specific questions; but I think conservatives are woefully lacking in the arena of legal acumen. There are some doing a good job, but discussion and strategy along legal lines is very lacking. It should be a downhill battle----the US Constitution is unequivocal, that States are to be protected from invasion no matter what form. I don't claim to be a constitutional expert---but don't you think this would be an excellent starting position from which to make legal arguments?
