OBAMA'S REFUGEE CRISIS

Exclusive: Joseph Farah says BHO 'practically sent out engraved Spanish-language invitations'

The way Barack Obama has fundamentally transformed America over the last six years, you might expect to see American citizens fleeing the country in massive numbers.
Who knows? We might still see it, given that he’s got two-and-a-half years left in office.
But, with the economy in shambles, who would have expected a flood of refugees walking into the country – tens of thousands of children, no less? More every day.
The answer to that question is simple: anyone who recognizes that government’s actions have real-life consequences.
Anyone who understands that if government stops policing the border, more people will enter the country illegally. Anyone who knew that waving amnesty flags and Dream Acts would attract more immigrant children – this time not even accompanied by parents.
This is Obama’s refugee crisis. He created it. He practically sent out engraved Spanish-language invitations to come to the Promised Land. He has a few accomplices who share the blame – virtually his entire party and plenty of country-club Republicans, like the late great House Majority Leader Eric Cantor. But, this humanitarian crisis was authored by Obama. It has his name written all over it. He didn’t even need a ghostwriter this time.
What’s ironic and tragic about the massive influx of a virtual children’s army pouring across the southern border is that illegal immigration into the U.S. had actually subsided because of the rotten economy Obama has presided over for the entirety of his administration. Maybe that’s why the grownups are staying home and only sending their children on a death-defying march to the U.S.
There’s almost no work for Americans in America. But there are plenty of taxpayer freebies available – especially for hungry kids.
Much as Americans want to feed all of the hungry children of the world, we can’t do it. At least the government can’t. Washington has proven in recent weeks it can’t even provide decent medical care to wounded warriors. It’s not even a question of money. It’s a question of priorities, competence and bureaucracy.

What’s the solution?
The solution is for Americans to awaken from their slumbering daydream to the real-world nightmare Obama and his friends have created – not just with the latest immigration fiasco and the Jimmy Carter economy, but with everything:

  • trading five hardened veteran terrorists for a ballet-dancing deserter;
  • the Obamacare disaster;
  • the Veterans Administration debacle;
  • the abuse of the Internal Revenue Service in targeting domestic political enemies;
  • the war on the First Amendment;
  • the war on the Second Amendment;
  • the war on the rest of the Constitution;
  • exponential expansion of the surveillance state;
  • the federalization and militarization of law enforcement at every level;
  • the total failure of the Justice Department to enforce laws it doesn’t like.

Hello? America, are you paying attention? There are consequences for lawlessness – especially at the top.
What we are seeing on the border today is just one more manifestation.
America didn’t wake up in 2012. Maybe people didn’t feel like they had a real choice. Maybe they were duped by lies like “If you like your health plan and your doctor, you can keep them.” Maybe things just hadn’t gotten bad enough.
There are no excuses anymore.
I know. We can sit back and blame the opposition party, which doesn’t really seem to offer much in the way of opposition.
I remember better times. I remember when the tea party awoke in 2010. There were massive demonstrations in the streets – not just in Washington but across the land. I believe that’s what we need now.
If it can work in a police state like Egypt, it should work here. What’s holding us back?
If we don’t get our act together soon and make our voices heard like we did in 2010, the next refugee crisis will not come from Central America. It will come from North America.
Yesterday was a good day. Cantor’s defeat will undoubtedly slow down the establishment Republican pussyfooting on this issue. But we need more – much, much more.
