Limbaugh: Obama’s Illegal Immigrant Release Is An ‘Impeachable Offense’...

Rush Limbaugh on the government's mass release of illegal immigrants, "This is an impeachable offense, this is in direct violation of the oath of office -- defend and protect the Constitution of the United States and the people. We're opening the doors of prisons before the sequester has even happened, before there have even been any budget cuts -- this is so childish. Except the consequences are real for people that live nearby these detention centers."

Which member of media is an 'EFFECTIVE IDIOT'?

If you're of a certain persuasion, this talking head is infuriating, maddening, makes you want to reach into your television and ...

But wait. One of his biggest critics has another idea ... one that will knock you off your feet.

NUGENT: 'NO QUESTION' OBAMA SHOULD BE IMPEACHED

Also blasts CNN anchor Piers Morgan as 'effective idiot'

Rock legend and gun-rights defender Ted Nugent says there’s “no question” President Obama should be impeached, and he’s blasting CNN anchor Piers Morgan as an “effective idiot” in the battle over the Second Amendment.

Referring to Obama, Nugent says, “There’s no question that this guy’s violations qualify for impeachment. There’s no question.”

He blasted “the criminality of this government, the unprecedented abuse of power, corruption, fraud and deceit by the Chicago gangster-scammer-ACORN-in-chief. It’s so diabolical … .”
Sign the petition urging Congress to impeach Obama.

Nugent made his comments during an interview Monday with radio host Alex Jones.

He called the probe into the fatal onslaught at the U.S. mission in Benghazi, Libya, “the most recent outrage” worthy of the Obama administration.

“When you’ve got the secretary of state of the United States of America who was brought in for questioning regarding the murder, the slaughter, the predictable slaughter of four American citizens in Benghazi, what kind of subhuman numbnut would not know you need security in Benghazi 24/7?” Nugent asked.

“And why does Hillary Clinton know that she’s got the backing of the president and the government overall when she has the audacity to scold those elected officials who ask proper questions. The hearings are over. Nothing [is the result]!”
On Wednesday, radio giant Rush Limbaugh said on his own program that the Obama administration’s release of hundreds and potentially thousands of illegal-alien criminals from U.S. detention centers in connection with possible budget cuts is “an impeachable offense.”

“In what used to be considered (if we can remember this far back) normal, sane times, this is an impeachable offense,” Limbaugh said. “This is action being taken against the country. … It is sheer madness to be doing this. It is petulant, it is childish.”

Nugent, a WND columnist, is also taking aim at CNN anchor Piers Morgan, a British citizen who has been lecturing Americans on why they should have more restrictions on guns.

Nugent told Jones, “You and I and all freedom lovers and all gun-rights advocates in America, should get on bended knee right now, look to the heavens, make the sign of the cross, and say, ‘Thank You, God, for making our opponent Piers Morgan.’ You and I could go to the greatest creative minds in the world and we couldn’t come up with a more effective IDIOT than Piers Morgan to try to make a point of why we should be disarmed. You gotta admit, he’s exactly what we need in that position.”

Nugent lamented the apparent lack of interest many citizens have in defending their own freedom.

“I think the apathy is still the No. 1 curse of America,” he said. “If we haven’t demanded accountability for Benghazi or “Fast and Furious” and all the other criminal acts by this regime, then I’m afraid I don’t have hope that this will be a motivator itself.”

The guitarist urged Americans to “get engaged” in the fight to defend their Second Amendment rights especially.

“You’ve got to be a member of the National Rifle Association, and you’ve got to make sure that your buddies are members of the NRA, and your co-workers, and the guys at school with you, the guys at church,” he explained.

Nugent said he has been personally targeted by the federal government for his remarks opposing Obama’s agenda.

“I could tell you some stories about how the feds have come after me,” he said, “and how they’ve tried to get me on numerous felonies for the most nonsensical, ridiculous scams against me, trying to shut me up, trying to take away my gun rights, trying to take away my voting rights, because they’re scared to death of me.”

Limbaugh: Obama Release of Illegals ‘An Impeachable Offense’

    Wednesday, 27 Feb 2013 06:38 PM
    By Todd Beamon

Conservative radio talk-show host Rush Limbaugh said on Wednesday that the Obama administration’s release of hundreds of illegal aliens from local jails to save money before huge budget cuts take effect was “an impeachable offense.”

“This is in direct violation of the oath of office,” Limbaugh said on his radio show. “Defend and protect the Constitution of the United States and the people.

“We're opening the doors of prisons before the sequester has even happened, before there have even been any budget cuts,” Limbaugh added. “This is so childish, except the consequences are real for people that live near these detention centers. This is in-the-ground, hard, cold reality.”

Arizona officials on Tuesday lashed out at the White House after the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement said they had released hundreds of illegals after the agency reviewed their cases.

The illegals were placed on supervised release, an agency spokeswoman said on Tuesday, which requires them to abide by a strict reporting schedule that may include attending appointments at regional ICE offices and telephone and electronic monitoring.

Gillian M. Christensen, the agency spokeswoman, could not specify how many detainees had been released or when the releases began — though a source told Newsmax that slightly more than 300 illegals had been released across the country since last Thursday, and all were classified as low-security threats.

About 50 immigrants were released from facilities in Pinal County, Ariz., about 70 miles north of the U.S.-Mexico border, the source told Newsmax.

The agency’s move there was attacked as a serious public-safety threat by Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu.

“These are criminal illegals,” Babeu told Newsmax. “They were headed for deportation — but now, they have received a budget pardon.”

The immigration agency falls under Homeland Security, headed by Secretary Janet Napolitano. About $85 billion in broad government cuts are scheduled to take effect on Friday. Approximately 5.3 percent of the ICE budget would be cut.

“The president of the United States has opened up the jails,” Limbaugh declared on Wednesday. “Hundreds of illegal alien criminals have been released from illegal alien jails.

“Now, I know Obama thinks that he's harming Republicans,” he added. “This is exacting harm on the country — and it's entirely unnecessary. None of these so-called budget cuts are necessary. None of this panic is necessary.”

Limbaugh sympathized with Arizona officials, who long have fought the White House on immigration matters. “Apparently, Obama never gets tired of sticking it to Arizona,” he said.

“The purely cynical view is that Obama has just let loose 30,000 new Democrat voters,” Limbaugh said later in the program. “So this is how far Obama's willing to go to try to punish this country and anybody who stands in the way of him doing and getting what he wants.”

The talk-show host also lambasted the White House for saying earlier on Wednesday that Obama and Homeland Security were not involved in the decision to release the illegals.

Jay Carney, the White House spokesman, said at a news conference reported by the Associated Press, “This was a decision made by career officials at ICE without any input from the White House, as a result of fiscal uncertainty over the continuing resolution, as well as possible sequestration.”

Homeland Security officials also were not aware of the decision until ICE announced it, Carney said.

“He's not even in charge of his own Department of Homeland Security,” Limbaugh said of Obama. “He's not even in charge of his own Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency. All of this stuff happens; he doesn't know anything about it.”

He then reminded listeners: “Obama didn't know about Benghazi, either,” referring to the Sept. 11 attacks on the U.S. consulate in Libya that killed Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans.

“He didn't know about the prisoner release. He didn't know about Benghazi. I wonder if Napolitano did that.

“A bunch of career bureaucrats did it — and what Carney tried to say was that there's so much panic in the bureaucracies over the upcoming spending cuts, these massive spending cuts, that they're practically panicking — and they're doing things that nobody is aware of until they do them.

“The lengths to which they are now going to try to convince people that Barack Obama has literally no association with this government whatsoever is stunning,” Limbaugh said.

White House and GOP set to let sequester deadline expire without deal

Washington braces for prolonged stand-off in the 'sequester' crisis as both sides neglect to seek out last-minute deal

The chances of a last-minute deal in the latest US tax and spending crisis appeared to be receding after Republican leaders said no new compromise would be tabled in talks at the White House scheduled for Friday.

Draconian cuts to the US budget are scheduled to kick in at midnight Friday, with the White House warning it will lead to teachers being laid off, defence orders scrapped, air travel delays, vaccine projects shelved and border security reduced.

The cuts stem from the latest clash between Barack Obama and Republicans in Congress over tax and spending. The difference this time is that neither Obama nor the Republicans are actively seeking the usual last-minute deal and Washington is braced for a prolonged stand-off in the so-called "sequester" crisis.

Obama is to meet the top two Republican congressional leaders, Senate minority leader Mitch McConnell and House speaker John Boehner, and their Democratic counterparts at the White House on Friday neither side anticipates a deal even being tabled, let alone reached.

There was not even the remotest hint of a compromise Thursday. McConnell, speaking in the Senate on Thursday, blamed Obama for failing to put forward a serious plan or engage in serious discussion.

"This week, he finally invited Speaker Boehner and me to discuss the sequester – tomorrow, the day it takes effect," McConnell said.

McConnell added: "Now, after thwarting every bipartisan attempt to avert his sequester, the president is ready to make it bite as hard as possible – all to send a simple message to the public: 'You want to control Washington spending, America? Fine, let me show you much I can make it hurt.'

"Instead of directing his cabinet secretaries to trim waste in their departments, he's going to go after first responders. And teachers. And almost any other sympathetic constituency you can think of. And he'll arbitrarily close parks and monuments too – all to force Americans to accept higher taxes. He'll claim his hands are tied.

"He'll say he has no choice but to release criminals into the streets and withhold vaccines from poor children. And somehow, it will be everyone's fault but his. Nonsense."

Boehner described the cuts as "not smart" but said the onus was not on the Republicans but Obama and Democrats in the Senate to come up with a bill to resolve it.

The crisis was born out of a 2011 clash over raising the debt ceiling when lawmakers agreed a hastily constructed fudge, known as the sequester, in which automatic cuts could take effect if Republicans and Democrats failed to agree on a tax and spending package.

At the time, both the White House and Republicans believed the cuts were so arbitrary and draconian that they would never be implemented and would force both sides to reach agreement. But neither side settled down to negotiate.

The chances of a late compromise are so negligible that the House will not be sitting Friday, wrapping up business on Thursday evening. Two bills were scheduled to be introduced in the House and Senate on Thursday but these were primarily to offer political cover, with no chance of either being passed.

The White House, tired after two years of showdown after showdown with Republicans over tax and spending, seems prepared to let the $85bn in cuts over the next seven months kick in and let the Republicans take the blame as tens of thousands of workers start to receive notices about shorter working weeks, compulsory leaves of absence or even lay-offs.

Republicans, after losing the last clash with Obama in December that resulted in a modest increase in taxes, are in no mood to give ground this time either. They accuse the White House of exaggeration and scare-mongering, saying there will be no visible effect in the short-term, with many of the cuts to be phased in over weeks and months.

But the deadline is already having an impact. The Department of Homeland Security this week released hundreds of undocumented workers were being held in detention centres. The immigration and customs enforcement division said the release was in preparation for the cuts which would limit the number of undocumented workers it can house.

Two Republican congressmen, Chuck Grassley and Bob Goodlatte, wrote to the secretary of state for homeland security, Janet Napolitano, on Thursday saying she should have been prepared.

"Simply blaming budget reductions as a means to turn a blind eye toward the national security of the American people is a dangerous plan," they wrote.

The deadline has created confusion and anxiety throughout the country at a time when the US economy remains fragile. Economists warn that the cuts could cut growth by about half a percent, enough to send modest job increases into reverse.
Workers at a naval shipyard in Virginia visited this week by Obamaexpressed concern about reduced hours and possible lay-offs.

Obama is thinking strategically instead of continuing to lurch from crisis to crisis, intent on a final showdown with the Republicans rather than seeing his second term totally disrupted by repeated clashes.

The White House thinks Obama is in a strong position. The latest ABC-Washington Post poll shows 52% disapproval for his handling of the crisis but 67% disapproval for the Republicans.

Many Democrats, though they will not say this in public, see the $85bn in cuts as a good bargain because about half will come from Pentagon spending, which Republicans normally battle to protect.

On Thursday, the veteran Washington Post reporter Bob Woodward was involved in a spat with the White House after an article critical of Obama's handling of the sequester. This prompted heated exchanges between Woodward and the White House's national economic council director Gene Sperling, the White House denied a charge that Sperling threatened Woodward, insisting that he only said the reporter would regret writing the article.
