Objectively Rating the Candidates on Illegal Immigration

If you take the NUMBERS USA illegal immigration issues evaluation

    http://www.betterimmigration.com/candid ... _gop1.html

and convert the evaluation to a number you can objectively rate and rank the candidates.

    With a scale of

    +3 = excellent
    +2 = good
    +1 = fair
    -1 = poor
    -2 = bad
    -3 = abysmal

the candidate's rating on illegal immigration comes out as:

    48 Tancredo
    44 Hunter
    34 Thompson
    20 Hucklebee
    19 Romney
    19 Paul
    -7 Giuliani
    -8 McCain

Please add any other objective evaluations to this thread.

That assumes that all parts should be rated the same in fact Paul should be near the top with Tancredo and Hunter. Romney is clearly better than Huckabee and maybe better than Thompson.
I support enforcement and see its lack as bad for the 3rd World as well. Remittances are now mostly spent on consumption not production assets. Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

I would disagree. I would agree that Paul should rate #3, however, I feel that he should be a distant third.

Based simply on the research I"ve done on my own, here's how I would rate them:

#1 Hunter (head and shoulders above the rest)
    #2 Paul
    #3 & 4 Romney/Thompson (either or)
    #5 Hucklebee
    #6 & 7 McCain/Giuliani (either or)

Like I said, these are my own opinions based exclusively on my personal research. My ratings give a lot of weight to past votes and actions on the immigration and border security issues. I'm sure many of our ratings would differ to a small degree. Let's hear everyone elses.

For obvious reasons, Tancredo is not included in my ratings.
