Okay, It's Time To Get To The Bottom of Miss Piggy

Getting to the bottom of Miss Piggy

    From the New York Times:

Shamed and Angry: The Beauty Contestant Donald Trump Mocked for Her Weight

By MICHAEL BARBARO and MEGAN TWOHEYSEPT. 27, 2016

For 20 years, Alicia Machado has lived with the agony of what Donald J. Trump did to her after she won the Miss Universe title: shame her, over and over, for gaining weight.

Private scolding was apparently insufficient. Mr. Trump, at the time an executive producer of the pageant, insisted on accompanying Ms. Machado, then a teenager, to a gym, where dozens of reporters and cameramen watched as she exercised.

Mr. Trump, in his trademark suit and tie, posed for photographs beside her as she burned calories in front of the news media. “This is somebody who likes to eat,” Mr. Trump said from inside the gym.

On Monday night, Hillary Clinton turned Ms. Machado’s pain into a potent political weapon on the biggest possible stage.

In the process, the first female nominee of a major party elevated a largely forgotten tale of Mr. Trump, when his oversight of beauty pageants collided with his unforgiving fixation with female beauty.

And Mrs. Clinton put a spotlight on Ms. Machado, who says she never fully recovered from the experience. Miss Universe 1996, who grew up in Venezuela, said she had suffered eating disorders and psychological trauma as a result of the episode.

“I was sick — anorexia and bulimia for five years,” she said in an interview with The New York Times in May. “I was 18. My personality wasn’t created yet. I was just a girl.”

Mr. Trump has acknowledged pressuring her to lose weight, saying it was her job as Miss Universe to remain in peak physical shape. On Tuesday morning, he made no apologies for that.

“She gained a massive amount of weight and it was a real problem,” Mr. Trump told Fox News.

On the debate stage, Mrs. Clinton seized on his conduct. At the end of Monday night’s 90-minute confrontation, she reminded viewers of Mr. Trump’s frequently crude remarks about women and their bodies.

“One of the worst things he said was about a woman in a beauty contest. He loves beauty contests, supporting them and hanging around them,” Mrs. Clinton said, as she slowly unfurled the story.

“And he called this woman ‘Miss Piggy.’ Then he called her ‘Miss Housekeeping,’ because she was Latina.”

    Mrs. Clinton paused.

“Donald, she has a name: Her name is Alicia Machado.”

    Mr. Trump, clearly furious, interrupted.

“Where did you find this? Where did you find this?”

Mrs. Clinton concluded with a kicker looking forward to Election Day.

“She has become a U.S. citizen, and you can bet she’s going to vote this November.”

Ms. Machado, in a series of interviews this year with The Times, recalled the experience and its long-term impact on her life for an article about how Mr. Trump treats women.

By her account, she gained about 12 pounds after becoming Miss Universe. Mr. Trump was not pleased. He said she had gained even more.

Ms. Machado recalled the specific taunts from Mr. Trump that Mrs. Clinton invoked on Monday night during the debate, as well as another sobriquet: “Miss Eating Machine.”

Now, Ms. Machado is an avid supporter of Mrs. Clinton. She has appeared in an ad criticizing him.

The scar, she says, still remains.

“Over the past 20 years,” she said, “I’ve gone to a lot of psychologists to combat this.”

Boo Hoo. She worked out and dieted in order to present herself in a certain way to win, then didn't maintain the bill of goods she sold the pageant. It is a BEAUTY pageant.

Typical of the New York Times and Hillary to try to make this actual news. The media is so desperate to find anything to knock down Trump but this is nitpicking by Hillary and the newspaper imo.

Former Miss Universe Alicia Machado Told Univision In May That Trump Treated Her Terribly
Blog ››› 1 hour 48 min ago ››› MEDIA MATTERS STAFF

During the first presidential debate, Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton pointed to Republican nominee Donald Trump’s record of mistreating women, highlighting his attacks on former Miss Universe Alicia Machado, whom he referred to as “Miss Piggy.” Trump, who owned the Miss Universe pageant from 1996 to 2015, doubled down the morning after the debate on the September 27 edition of Fox News’ Fox & Friends, saying Machado had “gained a massive amount of weight and it was a real problem.”

Machado appeared on Univision’s Al Punto in May after a New York Times report about Trump’s treatment of women in private described the insults and humiliation Trump subjected her to during her time as Miss Universe. Machado told host Jorge Ramos that Trump had treated her terribly and had mocked her appearance, calling her “Miss Piggy” and “Miss Housekeeping” and saying she was an “eating machine.” She also said the experience had caused her “huge emotional pain.” From the May 22 edition of Univision’s Al Punto:
    Translated transcript:

JORGE RAMOS (HOST): What happened? What happened when you win Miss Universe in 1996, you were 18 years old, and then the New York Times report says you had gained weight after. Enter Donald Trump; what happened?

ALICIA MACHADO: Well, first I want to take advantage of this opportunity to talk to the Hispanic community, with all the love I’ve always had for it in the past 20 years, to tell them that all of what’s happening with my voice is not something I have sought out. It’s something that has come to me. The people from The New York Times have come to me and asked me to speak for this report, along with other women who’ve had the opportunity or had the experience of being close to Trump, women of different socioeconomic status and careers.

RAMOS: And how did Donald Trump treat you?

MACHADO: Terribly, and this isn't something new for me to say. I’ve been saying this for 20 years, what I lived through in that year, how that affected me as a person, I suffered a lot of psychological violence.

RAMOS: We’re going to show a video of you, when you get there, and you told this story to the NYT, you get to the gym--

MACHADO: Yes and I had no idea any of this was going to happen.

RAMOS: You didn’t know there was going to be media?

MACHADO: No, I didn’t know anything at all. All that I can say about Trump is something I can prove, it’s all documented, I’m not making anything up.

RAMOS: These reporters, you didn't know they would be there.

MACHADO: No, I didn’t know they were going to be there. This happened about four months -- yes, I think it was around December or November, because I remember it was really cold in New York. And I had won in May, so it wasn’t like I gained weight immediately. I won the best body in Miss Universe that year, I lifted a lot of weights. It was the time where fit bodies were starting to become trendy, “light” things were trendy.

RAMOS: How did all of this affect you?

MACHADO: A lot. I'm going to tell you quickly, I went to the company and asked them for help, I went to their office in Los Angeles. I told them I had gained weight, I don't feel happy, if you put me with a nutritionist I can lose this weight quickly. They told me pack your bags you're going to New York. I said great, I go to New York, and the next day they tell me we’re going to a gym, to set me up with a personal trainer, and a diet. And when I arrived at the gym, I find all this [media] circus. And I tell him I don’t want to do it, that I was embarrassed. And he said, "I don't care, I pay you for this, smile.”

RAMOS: You have a big social media presence. One of your followers asked, "Why did it take you so long to denounce this?"

MACHADO: Because he wasn't running for president before, I think -- he's not going to run a casino, he's going to run a great nation, the United States. I also had to overcome a huge emotional pain that even now when I remember it I am upset about it --

RAMOS: You responded saying, "I didn't think he could ever be a presidential candidate and when I was 18 I was afraid [of speaking out]. Without fear." You were scared of Donald Trump?

MACHADO: Of course. Very afraid, I was very afraid of him. How could I not be, if was coming from a city at 18 years old as a beauty queen, I didn't have a multimillionaire family that could support me against such a powerful man. So I want to take the opportunity to tell voters in this election -- this country and the world does not need a man who can just do business. I also think we need a good human being, a person with a good heart, and I am totally and absolutely convinced that Donald Trump is not a person that has a good heart.

RAMOS: You will become a citizen of the United States soon?

MACHADO: Yes, I want to be able to vote, to have the moral authority to be able to fight for the well-being of this country. I forgave Trump for this episode and other things that happened in that time --

RAMOS: What else did you see, in Donald Trump and his treatment of other people?

MACHADO: I'm just going to be talking about my own experience. What I lived was not pleasant, it was humiliating. He's a cold, calculating person, he’s a man that has very little consideration for anyone he thinks is inferior.

RAMOS: He called you Miss Piggy once?

MACHADO: He called me Miss Piggy, he called me Miss Housekeeping, he called me an eating machine. And I would argue with him saying that I'm Latina and have a little bit more than others.

RAMOS: You considered in an insult at that time?

MACHADO: Yes of course, and it was also how he said it. It’s not just what they say to you, it’s also how they say it.

    Career

Machado won the 1995 Miss Venezuela pageant entering Yaracuy and then the Miss Universe 1996 crown in Las Vegas. The runner-up, Jacqueline Aguilera, also won the Miss World 1995 crown, marking the second time that two Venezuelans from the same pageant won two world titles. Machado's reign came as Donald Trump took ownership of the Miss Universe pageant.

During her reign as Miss Universe, Machado made headlines when it was reported that she gained too much weight and the Miss Universe Organization was considering replacing her with her runner-up, Taryn Mansell of Aruba. Machado retained her title. Donald Trump called her "an eating machine", generating controversy. In 1998, she made her debut on the popular Venezuelan soap opera Samantha in the titular role. She won the Midia Award in Spain and the Ace award in New York City, as the new Actress of the year. Following the success of Samantha she was called to star in Infierno en el Paraiso, another successful soap opera. In 1999 she released her debut album “Alicia En El Pais De Las Maravillas”. A second album was released in November 2007.[citation needed]

In 2001, she had a small role on the international soap opera Secreto de Amor. During 2004–2005, she pursued a career as a TV commercial model with particular success in promoting a dieting product. In 2005, Machado appeared on a Spanish reality show called La Granja de los famosos ("The Farm"). On February 19, 2006, Machado debuted on a Mexican reality show named Cantando Por Un Sueño ("Singing For A Dream"), a program in the line of the previous Bailando Por Un Sueño ("Dancing For A Dream"), in which the winner has the chance for a dream to come true. The show is very similar to Dancing with the Stars (U.S.) and ¡Más que baile! (formerly titled ¡Mira Quién Baila!) ("Look Who's Dancing!") (Spain).[citation needed]

Machado appeared in (and on the cover of) the February 2006 issue of Playboy magazine's Mexican edition, thus becoming the only Miss Universe to pose nude for Playboy.[1] On September 9, 2012, she was one of ten competitors on the third season of Mira Quien Baila. On November 18, 2012, Alicia won 3rd place in the 3rd season of Univision's dance competition Mira Quien Baila. In 2013, Machado stars as the protagonist of La Madame, a television serial produced by RTI Productions and RCN TV in Colombia. In February 2014, she joined Univision's beauty pageant Nuestra Belleza Latina 2014 as a mentor where she coach the participants on how to succeed in the modeling and television industry.

    Personal life

In 2005, Machado was engaged to baseball star Bobby Abreu. During their engagement she was on the Spanish reality show La Granja where she was filmed on camera having sex with another member of the show. Shortly after the video surfaced Abreu ended their engagement.[2][3]

On June 25, 2008, Machado gave birth to her daughter, Dinorah Valentina. She issued a statement that the father of Dinorah was her best friend Mexican businessman Rafael Hernandez Linares after Mexican news sources, quoting the Attorney General, reported that the father was Gerardo Alvarez-Vazquez, a drug lord.[4]

On November 24, 2010, BBC Mundo confirmed that Machado had to close her Twitter account after writing a tweet that called for "peace between the Chinas", referring to North and South Korea.[5] Her gaffe unleashed a rush of insulting posts, prompting her to go offline. "I now have a lot of psychopaths on the account and it's best I start another one, kisses," she signed off, according to Venezuelan media.[6]

In May 2016, Machado became a US citizen.[7]

Machado was mentioned by Hillary Clinton during the first 2016 presidential debate, on September 26.[8][9]

This article states she gained 60 pounds, whereas, she told Univision she gained 12 pounds.

According to Wikipedia, the Attorney General of Mexico states that the father of her child is a drug lord, she claims the father is someone else.

This story starts with Jorge Ramos of Univision in May of 2016.

So it looks like Hillary is hanging with Jorge Ramos, Univision and a Venezuelan immigrant of some type who bedded down with a Mexican drug lord for awhile.

Like I've always said, anyone who supports legalization for illegal aliens is on the take with the foreign drug cartels. That's why they don't want the wall, that's why they want amnesty for the illegal aliens running the drug trade for them.

Explain how this woman was in Venezuela, Mexico and Colombia until at least 2014 when she started working for Univision, presumably in the US, she is a US citizen by 2016.

Trump needs to read The Snake in the next debate.

We need to research everything we possibly can on this Michado woman. She's lied about her weight gain, claiming it was 12 pounds instead of 60 lbs. or more; she's lied about a drug lord being the father of her child, claiming it was a best friend who fathered her child; she's lied about Trump; and she's probably lied to become a US citizen.

The media and this white trash Hillary Clinton have turned our Presidential Election into a Venezuelan soap opera with a Mexican audience.

Miss Piggy was on Fox News, Megyn Kelly, tonight. The interview did not go well for Miss Piggy. Megyn asked her if there were any witnesses to Trump actually calling her Miss Piggy or Miss Housekeeping, she dodges and says this was 20 years ago and I'm here to change minds. Megyn says now you had the anorexia before Mr. Trump was involved, and Miss Piggy says "no not prior after". Miss Piggy had done an interview with the Washington Post where she said otherwise.

That's now 4 LIES told by Miss Piggy.

    1. said she gained 12 pounds, when she really gained 50 to 60 pounds
    2. said a friend was the father of her daughter, instead of drug lord according to Mexican authorities
    3. said Donald Trump is not a good person, when he is a good person
    4. said she got bulimia and anorexia because of Trump when she told WaPo she had this before Trump

    Hillary, you've been punked.
