The outcome of NO DREAM ACT PASSAGE

This is their last chance , their last way to get a foot in the door

What happens when it doesn't pass?

Do they go violent? What choices do they have in an upcoming era of
stronger enforcement coming with the new house, and hopefully a strong enforcement pro anti illegal president in 2012

Best case scenario........... they self deport by the millions

Worse case , they will want to do a violent reconquista ,

They will not go willingly , BUT GO THEY MUST

In order for most of them to self deport, they must be denied jobs and benefits. E-verify needs to become federal law, for all employers. I suspect the U.S. Chamber of Commerce will fight this. Sadly, many Republicans will fight this. the Dems are also opposed.

We must make it a priority.

If the student DREAM'ers actually obtain degrees they could be relatively desirable to certain multinational corporations--as long as they are savvy enough to figure out what to do. I read on a forum about one who was making plans to make an exit , in style if possible. Other would remain and get absorbed into the underground economy or marry a US citizen. This is going to be a very complex situation--- a lot of them would have parents who are still in the US illegally and they, too, are probably scheming ways to stay here. If their parents are here, the student DREAM'ers would not have much to return to in their home countries.

Maybe they can get a family discount from some travel agency

Quite a few say they will leave our country and get on with their lives.Others say they will look for a USA Citizen to sham marry to get their citizenship, infact some are already looking for suitable mates.

They will most likely ignore the outcome and continue to violate our laws at will. After all, there has been absolutely no punishment for their lawlessness.

I've been out of town most of the day. It was so peaceful.

Back to the illegal political Dream Act...

If DREAM Act Goes Down, Gutierrez To Step Up Fight

    http://progressillinois.com/quick-hits/ ... mmigration
    Tuesday December 7th, 2010, 4:33pm

Key votes are expected in both the U.S. House and Senate tomorrow on versions of the DREAM Act, which would allow undocumented immigrants who entered the U.S. before turning 16 and have lived here for at least five years, have a high school or GED diploma or have been accepted to college, and have demonstrated "good moral character" to apply for permanent status. While President Obama has made the bill's passage a priority of Congress' lame duck session, its prospects look dim. Indeed, even the chief Republican co-sponsor may not vote for it.

A lack of progress is causing one of Washington's major immigrant advocates, U.S. Rep. Luis Gutierrez (IL-4), to grow cynical about the political process. In an interview with the Daily Beast, Gutierrez said he is tired of "waiting for the mythical 60th vote" needed to end a filibuster in the Senate, and that after tomorrow, he plans on changing his tactics. From the article:

To hear Gutiérrez tell it, Hispanic leaders are about to stage a full-tilt campaign of direct action, like the African-American civil-rights movement of the 1960s. There will be protests, marches, sit-ins—what César Chávez might have called going rogue. (Hay looney tunes, I hate to break it to you, but Cesar Chavez was against amnesty. ) The movement will operate autonomously, no longer beholden to wavering Democrats, filibustering Republicans, and—perhaps most tantalizingly—no longer beholden to Barack Obama.

It's hard to blame Gutierrez. As he said so clearly to the Daily Beast, "If we couldn’t do it when Democrats were nearly 260 in the House and 59 in the Senate, how do we propose to tell people we can do it now?"
Ron Paul in 2011 "[...]no amnesty should be granted. Maybe a 'green card' with an asterisk should be issued[...]a much better option than deportation."
