Principal Apologizes for Muslim Poem Read Over Intercom Instead of Pledge of Allegiance on 9/11

On September 11, students at Concord-Carlisle High School in Concord, Massachusetts had a different morning routine than usual. Instead of reciting the Pledge of Allegiance over the intercom, students were read the poem “My Grandmother Washes Her Feet in the Sink of the Bathroom at Sears,” a poem about an Islamic woman using the sink at a department store as a footbath in accordance with Muslim tradition.
While Principal Peter Badalament defended the poem, claiming the poem was intended to promote “cross-cultural understanding,” he also apologized for the omission of the Pledge of Allegiance, saying it was accidental.
"Yesterday was the first Wednesday of the school year; we were unaware that our student Pledge reader had an internship commitment on this day," Badalament said in the statement. "This was our responsibility to know. We humbly apologize that this oversight and communication gap occurred."
While there is nothing inherently wrong with “cross-cultural understanding,” the fact remains that Concord-Carlisle High School has approximately 180 school days that are not the anniversary of a terrorist attack committed by Muslims to promote “understanding.” Two of the four planes used in the attack originated in Boston, and one of the victims was a resident of Concord. The school’s actions were incredibly insensitive, and this mistake should not be repeated next year.

Teacher refuses to let student use God in her writing assignment…
Posted by EAGNEWS on Sep 14, 2013

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – A 10-year-old girl was told she couldn’t write about God for a school assignment.

Erin Shead, a student at Lucy Elementary, was assigned the task of writing about her idol. But apparently there was one idol students were banned from using.

When Erin Shead decided she wanted to write about God, she was immediately chastised by her teacher.

According to CBS Charlotte, the teacher told Shead she couldn’t use God as an idol and had to pick someone else for the assignment.

“But my teacher said I couldn’t write about God. She said it has something to do with God and God can’t be my idol,”Shead told her mother.

Not only was she forced to redo the project, but unlike the work of other students, Shead was told she couldn’t leave it at school and had to take it home.

“It was so cute and innocent. She talked about how God created the earth and how she’s doing the best she can,” Shead’s mother, Erica Shead, told WREG.

Instead of using the assignment she wrote about the ‘King of Kings,’ Shead chose to write about the ‘King of Pop,’ Michael Jackson, and of course that was acceptable to her teacher.

Upon hearing what happened to her daughter, Erica Shead went to the school principal and demanded an explanation. “How can you tell this baby, that’s a Christian, what she can say and what she can’t say?” Erica Shead said in the report.

A district spokesman said teachers can’t promote religion, but there is not a policy preventing students from writing assignments about any God or religion, the story reports.

Yesterday, Shelby County Schools issued a statement saying this was a “regrettable misunderstanding” and that the matter has been addressed at the school level.

Federal Government Pulls Aid to Food Pantry Because of Jesus

Posted on September 12, 2013 by Dave Jolly

From the time the first settlers arrived on our shores until several decades ago, charity and aid to those in need was supplied by the local community and the church. If there was an illness, injury or loss of a family member, the church was there to help provide meals, watch kids, etc. If a barn needed to be raised, the church members brought their tools, the women brought the meal baskets and everyone pitched in to help. The same was true of harvest time. Church families would help each other bring in their crops and in the process, there was usually a lot of sharing and trading of produce.

Back in Arizona, I had the honor of serving on the Board of Deacons. We helped out the elderly and families in need. We would organize meals, help pay bills when necessary and even help others from outside our church who came looking to keep their lights on or to put a meal on the table for their families. It was always a blessing to help our brothers and sisters in need.

Times are changing and fewer churches are providing that vital help to people and families in need. Part of the problem is that today’s people are too busy with themselves to worry about others and in a struggling economy, some churches no longer have the resources to help.
Yet others have become so liberal in their theology that they have no concern for the needy. After all, and I’ve heard this on more than one occasion, let them turn to the government for help.

What many churches and Christians fail to realize is that attitude is playing into the government’s hands. Our federal government doesn’t want Christian charity to be the norm in America. Instead, they want everyone, and I mean everyone, to turn to the government for all of their needs. This is socialism 101 to its core.

A good example of how the government is doing its best to shut down Christian charities is what happened to the Christian Service Center in Lake City, Florida. For the past 31 years, the CSC has been helping out the low income residents of Lake City by providing and distributing food to those in need. It was established as a Christian outreach from the very beginning.

Some of the food they get to distribute is from the government, just like many other food banks. The food came from the USDA and CSC has been receiving USDA food for years. However, with Obama’s war on Christianity, the government help has ended.

The Christian food bank received notice from the USDA that unless they stopped all Christian practices at the center and took down their pictures of Jesus and the Ten Commandments, that they would no longer be eligible to receive USDA food contributions. Currently the USDA makes up 30%-40% of CSC’s food contributions.

Kay Daly, Executive Director of CSC met with USDA officials and tried to explain that their Christian witnessing was purely voluntary. She explained their process to the Christian Post saying:

"When we meet with them to get an understanding of the crisis or need, we ask them if they know Jesus Christ and if we may share with them. If they decline, we don't. If they do want to, we share the Gospel with them. Sometimes we lead them to the Lord and sometimes we don't."

The USDA officials told her that under a new contract, any Christian practices, images or anything else that reflected their faith was a violation of the church and state regulations. If they wanted to continue to receive USDA food, they would basically have to do so as a secular entity instead of a Christian outreach.

Daly said that CSC refuses to stop functioning as a Christian outreach and that they will rely on God, local churches and organizations to help make up the loss of USDA support. She commented:
"We also will trust God. I don't say that lightly. We will trust Him day to day to meet our needs."

"How do you comprise? We would deny what we stand for, which is Jesus Christ, which is why we are. The USDA has drawn the line in the sand. If they are going to put stipulations on the use and distribution of the food, we make a choice and our choice is to stand with Christ."

This is one of many examples of Obama’s war on Christianity and his striving to do away with Christian and church based charities. His government is counting on CSC to run short of food and not be able to help many of the people in the community. You can be sure that the government will have their people standing by to draw those in need to the various government programs like food stamps and welfare.

A socialist country requires that everyone except the wealthy and elite few turn to the government for all of their needs. The government assumes the role of the church and in time they want the people to worship the government instead of God. The huge rise in Americans receiving government aid of some kind and the harsher restrictions and regulations being placed on Christian charities, churches and business owners are clear indications that Obama is well on his way to his socialist nation. Unless Christians quit being so passive and get off their butts and do something about it, the rest of the transition is going to take place pretty soon!

Public School Made My Kid Imagine Herself Dying in the Twin Towers on 9/11

Public schools have become little more than government indoctrination centers in this country.

    Melissa Melton
    Activist Post

Case in point: Activist Post reported that 12 and 13-year-olds were forced to write what basically amounted to suicide notes as part of a class assignment on the anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks:

“A language arts teacher at Fairview Junior High in Alvin, Texas asked students to pretend they were trapped in one of the towers or planes, then asking who they would write a letter to if they knew they were going to die.”

    Parents were understandably outraged.

Then my daughter came home from her Austin, Texas high school to tell me that she too had an assignment in her drama class where she had to imagine herself in the twin towers on 9/11 just before the planes hit.

She was told to write about what she would miss most (you know, because she was dead) and what she would regret she never got to do (again, because terrorists killed her by slamming a jet into the building she was in).

A snapshot of my daughter’s 9/11 death note homework.

My kid talks about her ‘assignment’:

The teacher then told my daughter’s class the reason she was giving them this assignment was because my daughter’s generation lacked empathy. Now it was my turn to feel outraged.

While I recognize that many of the people in my generation and generations before me were made to complete repeated lessons and watch films on the treatment of Jewish people during World War II, I never had an assignment where I had to pretend I was a Jewish person siting in a gas chamber pondering what I’d miss most after the sprayers turned on.

Why are our public schools asking kids who were babies or who weren’t even alive yet when it happened to pretend they are 9/11 victims and write their own last words?

The only conclusion I can come to is that kids are being indoctrinated into our trauma-based society where we give up our natural, God-given rights at the very mention of the phrase “9/11″ as if that is just the rational, expected trade we must make. If the kids can be traumatized enough early enough, perhaps they’ll submit to the United Police States of America just as easily as the adults in this country have since that day.

Founding father Benjamin Franklin warned about giving up essential liberty for a little temporary safety. We have not listened.

In case you haven’t noticed, something really screwed up is going on with our public education system in this country. For more proof on that, look no further than the types of homework assignments that are being given to our children in government schools these days:

    • Fourth grade students in Illinois were recently given a “What Is Government?” worksheet with a cartoon Uncle Sam character holding a baby wearing a matching stars and bars top hat that literally told the children “Government is like a nation’s family. Families take care of children and make sure they are safe, healthy and educated, and free to enjoy life.” Uh-huh. Apparently Uncle Sam actually believes he’s your uncle now.
    • A private school in New York City made students as young as 14 write suicide notes that included justification for why they would kill themselves.
    • Arizona fourth graders were given a worksheet asking students what would happen if a woman found another woman’s hairclip under her bed. One girl wrote, “The husband had cheated, and he was in big trouble.” The school apologized, claiming the teacher hadn’t fully read the assignment before handing it out.
    • Kindergarteners in Illinois are being taught sex education, including the examination of different family structures, such as whether or not there’s two moms at home. The curriculum follows the recommendations of The Future of Sex Education (FoSE) sponsored in part by the Society of State Leaders of Health and Physical Education that includes an advisory committee of senior officials from Planned Parenthood and the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN).
    • Seems like fourth graders are particularly targeted. This time fourth grade students in Florida were made to write, “I Am Willing to Give Up Some of My Constitutional Rights…to Be Safer” following a lesson on the Constitution.
    • Earlier this year, female high school students in a small Texas town were girls were made to dress up in full-length Islamic burqas while students were told Muslim terrorists are to be referred to as “freedom fighters“.
    • Tenth graders fell victim to the common core in Arizona, as students were made to read passages from the novel Dreaming in Cuban by Cristina Garcia out loud in class. Here’s an example: “Hugo and Felicia stripped in their room, dissolving easily into one another, and made love against the whitewashed walls. Hugo bit Felicia’s breast and left purplish bands of bruises on her upper thighs. He knelt before her in the tub and massaged black Spanish soap between her legs. He entered her repeatedly from behind.” All that before she ties the guy up with her underwear and he calls her his Bitch. That’s what passes for tenth grade reading material in this country. Who could make this up?
    • A teacher in Tennessee banned a ten-year-old girl from writing about God.
    • High school seniors in Texas were told they’d receive zeroes on a writing assignment about what they did over the weekend if what they did involved attending a gun show.
    • A reading assessment prep given to third graders in Seattle was filled with Bill Gates hero worship.
    • Even online charter schools parents homeschool through are not indoctrination-free. A homeschooling dad from Maine found his son was being subjected to lessons that espouse the virtues of communist China.
    • A Texas fifth grader was given a CSCOPE curriculum worksheet entitled, “Why Can’t Kids Vote?” that said, “Adults think we don’t understand things like global warming and war. But we know these are things that need to be fixed. Adults have not fixed any of it yet, so maybe it’s time to give the kids a chance to make things better. The adults clearly need our help because they do not always make the best decisions.”
    • A third grade teacher in Georgia gave the class slavery-themed math homework with questions like, “If Frederick got two beatings per day, how many beatings did he get in one week?”

This list could literally go on and on.

The majority of students in this country are educated within our public school system; these kids are America’s future.

Add all these assignments to the fact that many schools are beginning to actually resemble prisons, complete with biometric palm scanners in the cafeterias and rules that force students to kneel to their teachers, and we as Americans really have to start asking ourselves what our nation’s future is going to look like.
