In the race for delegates, Ron Paul appears to closely trail Romney for first place

    FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
    February 4, 2008

ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA – While most reports about this past weekend’s
Maine Caucus focused on the purely symbolic presidential preference
poll, in the meaningful race to secure delegates to the state
convention Ron Paul is primed to finish second with likely 35 percent
    of the total delegates.

Delegates to the Republican National Convention in Minneapolis are
elected by the state delegates. Internal results from 10 of 16
counties, including the largest cities of Portland, South Portland,
Lewiston, Auburn, Augusta, Waterville, Bangor, and Brewer, show Ron
Paul picking up 215 of 608 State Convention delegates so far reported,
    or 35%.

“Ron Paul’s strong second place finish in Maine, in which he beat
John McCain, is proof that this race is far from over,â€

You ought to see the confidence Paul shows at the rallies. Certainly not someone who is getting beat. In a brokered convention, pledged delegates don't matter. It boils down to the personal preference of the delegates themselves. That's why Ron Paul supporters are filling up all the spots and working hard to get to the national convention. We are planning for a big upset. But keep that on the down low. =P

As therealjjj777 said above, those delegate totals are only ASSumed based on the popular vote. They are WAY off according to reports on the ground. But I guess we shall just have to wait and see.

I didn't get to see alot of the debate, but from what I saw it was a criminal travasty !

I had a couple grandkids here and one was 3 so he kept things in an uproar . But what part i could hear Paul didn't get to answer but a couple of questions, and those were cut off by commercials . Romney and Mccain seems to be the only ones there .

What is going on now with the dictators and their media is getting to the point that they don't even care if we see how totally unfair they are .

Everyone of the candidates should have equal time .

    yes..

Yes..a lot of people are noticing what the media is doing to Ron Paul..people are getting very suspicious about this.

Delegates. Ron Paul got about 213 delegates in Maine.

The news media is reporting the STRAW POLL that was taken before the maine caucus. That caucus lasted three days! The final results are finally in..and Ron Paul is right up behind Romney. McCain is way behind in delegates in maine.
