Talking about getting off Middle East oil. Yayy!! Hey I'm not against opening up the Arctic for oil production, it really doesn't have an effect on the bigger picture of the environment; the environment in Alaska, just like everything else there has its own set of rules. But I'm also for alternative energy sources and conservatives ought to really support this, instead of the witchhunt against climate scientists:
1. We could make products that we could export, and would give a big lift to American manufacturing.
2. There are very politically conservative areas that could have new economic possibilities with alternative energy. North Dakota is exploiting wind power, and Texas could very well. Wave energy could open up some industrial uses on the coast of Alaska, such as around Juneau. Arizona could very well exploit solar, and there are some areas that could use microhydro. Above all the rest of the world wants electricity, and now with energy efficiency they don't need big dams or nuclear power.
3. Oil from the Middle East or from Russia or Venezuela just allows us to be bossed around by OPEC. How long has OPEC had a stranglehold on the US? It's been so long you now just think it's normal!Last edited by Captainron; 10-09-2015 at 08:08 PM. Reason: punctuation, misspelling

I am happy to see other members of the UN Permanent Security Council like Russia and China stepping up to solve this problem in Syria. They are actually the best suited to restore order in the way that it's needed in Syria, and perhaps in other areas of the Middle East as well. They do not want to see Americans or the United States continue to engage in a bad strategy that not only wastes US money but fails with the result of empowering terrorists and creating the worst refugee problem the world has seen since WWII in terms of numbers, but worse, Jihadists sneaking into all the countries posing as "refugees".

I don't trust any politician. You can see my quote at the bottom if you have any question about it. True 3000 years ago; true today. I also saw a good statement from an ancient Roman statesman: "In the countryside people struggle with nature, in the cities they struggle with each other." And that's true as people around the world decide to leave the countryside and move for selfish reasons into the big city. It's where they can profit from all sorts of criminal and evil activity.
My foremost, basic social theory is what I call "Guy in Crisis." In other words men, whatever their intentions are, start doing all sorts of evil and crazy things once something happens that bursts their little bubble. Something goes wrong in their scheme and they drag everyone else down with them.
But the more fortunate ones find a life partner who helps them avoid catastrophe, yet they still are frequently up to no good. I call my second theory "Partners in Crime." Evil men find an evil or corruptible woman. but they figure out how to make it seem that they are on the up and up. And our legal system gives them the privilege of not having to testify against each other on criminal matters. And---- a reason why gay marriages is bad---it just creates one more group of people with this mentality, and they start out pretty twisted to begin with. Not good. I have a few more theories---because this is basic to understanding why the world operates they way it does.
And then, people just head evermore to the cities where they "struggle with each other." The less commitment the US government has to fixing everyone else's problems the better, and the more we turn our attention to our own society and just tell the rest of them to solve their own s---t."Men of low degree are vanity, Men of high degree are a lie. Great data in the "Why we are afraid" video and more at www.politicalislam.com -
Political Islam has subjugated civilizations for 1,400 years
"Only 12 decades have been jihad free in a so called "religion" of 1400 yrs and has killed 270 million."
Still promoting their evil, they haven't changed a bit and seem more aligned with the devil than the light of a loving creator God.
