Dick Morris on Hannity...said Bush has no credibility on immigration...said GOP base has done good job of contacting Senate...(hardly) no one likes bill including labor...serious cloture vote later this week, any GOP senator who votes for this is getting himself primary challenge (not those like Lott, but others)...liberals/Dems feel that talk radio is a threat as talk radio mobilizes base..will do anything they can to stop talk radio..if Dems get into power will apply fairness doctrine just to talk radio (not NPR)...fairness doctrine made sense 50 years ago with just 3 tv stations but now a million differ channels and internet, fariness doctrine makes absolutely no sense..Morris calls it "unfairness doctrine"

Populist, do you and the others believe Trent Lott is not vulnerable? He is on our target list and surely the commercials and articles exposing his comments and votes will seriously hurt him.

    GP,
This is what Morris said about possible primary challenge to the (entrenched) Lott; but not other potentially more vulnerable GOP pro-cloture, pro-amnesty senators; but I would just note to keep on hammering Lott about the amnesty bill, can't hurt, can only help...you probably heard how Lott lashed out at talk radio last week no doubt at last somewhat feeling the heat from Rush, Hannity (the two most important talk radio hosts) & other talk radio hosts and we listeners and callers.

BTW, I read that Lott occassionally answers his office phone to speak with constituents, so if you call his office, be prepared just on the off chance he answers.

You know Populist, I think they are all vulnerable, no matter how entrenched. This outrage goes way beyond the norm, and we vote. Many elections are won and lost by only a small amount of votes.

We can make the difference especially since their own generally supportive constituents are going after them on this issue.

His comments only compound the anger.

Your brain cannot organize the insanity because you have a normal brain.

Only brains scrmabled with narcissism can decipher these amnesty messages as positive.

Could be, probably a long shot, but it could be that some who changed their vote to prolonge this voted that way for a reason.

If it died today, come election time, a lot of senators riding the fence could continue to do so. 59 would have had the option of telling us that they opposed amnesty, but wanted the debate. This way, there is no ifs and or buts about who is for selling out our country and who is against it. The bill won't pass the house and we'll know who has been paid for.

    It's a good day.
