Thread: "Secure Borders First Act" introduced in House!

This is the legislation we want. When contacting Congress, we should mention that we support the Secure Borders First Act (and to vote no on cloture for S. 1639!).

Lou Dobbs had a report on the Secure Borders First Act tonight. Reps Peter King and Lamar Smith introduced this legislation.

1. Secure the borders first

2. No amnesty (no legalizing of illegals)

3. Enforce existing immigration laws.

He also said:
-- The public won't accept the Senate's amnesty legislation. This new Secure Borders First Act is a more basic, realistic, sensible and effective approach to illegal immigration.

-- The status quo is intolerable. It would be true immigration reform to just enforce current law.

Duh

NO GUEST WORKERS PROGRAM WITH PATH TO CITIZENSHIP

ENFORCE WORKPLACE LAWS

SECURE BORDER

REPEAL AUTOMATIC BIRTHRIGHT CITIZENSHIP FOR CHILDREN OF ILLEGAL

NO NEW IMMIGRATION LAWS

If this is the context of this bill I would be very interested in this bill!

Sounds good to me too, but the Dems just thwarted the fence by putting all kinds of restriction on it with environmental restrictions, and a lot of other things. UGH

The illegals have ruined the environment in our border areas with their
trampling of vegatation, dumping of garbage, etc. that will take those areas years and years to recover from. Lou Dobbs said something about it on one of his shows a couple of weeks ago and about volunteers that picked up the garbage left by the illegals in the those areas. The amount of garbage picked up was a huge amount something in the area of tons of it. Nobody thinks of the impact illegals have on our deserts and lands by their illegally crossing our borders.

I agree Debby but you know the environmentalists will find a lizard or weed or something that's becoming extinct.

True!! The rules will only apply to securing the border and not ruining the
environment with it, but they never consider what the illegals have done
to the border areas all these years.

Can anyone get information on this bill and if it will be supported by Dana
Rohrenbacher and other representatives of the house?

Quite frankly, I haven't even heard of it. I know that Congressman Ed Royce's admendment was defeated in the house.
