Senator Enzi's response to Calderon's nosing in US immigrati
http://www.alipac.us/ftopict-105558-.html- here is the same PATHETIC response I got from Senator Feinstein a few weeks ago.
LETTER FROM SENATOR ENZI-
Subject:Correspondence from Senator Enzi
Date:Thursday, March 06, 2008 4:31:33 PM
March 6, 2008
Dear :
I am extremely disappointed that the President and First Lady of Mexico
would try to influence our immigration policy. The flood of illegal
immigrants and goods influence our economy, I hope that President
Calderon will work with the United States to improve legal and secure
trade across our borders.
In 2007, President Bush announced a regional security program that would provide $1.4 billion to Mexico to help security their side of our shared border. While I believe the government of Mexico should be taking these actions, I am concerned that the Mexico government ignores the illegal immigration and drug smuggling occurring on our southern border. At this time, Congress has not yet considered the President's proposal. When we do so, I will keep your concerns in mind.
I want my constituents to have access to a more complete view of
Congress and my activities so I have started a monthly e-newsletter. It
is a brief summary of important issues and happenings. I encourage you
to sign up on my web page at enzi.senate.gov. You can unsubscribe at
anytime.
Sincerely,
Michael B. Enzi
