    Does anybody know how they process the Paper Ballots?

    Can they just shred them...or are they processed in the same machine that you would have voted on anyway?

    I worked a the polls here in Boston and we used paper ballots that got fed into a machine which counted the number of ballots put in there but not for whom the votes were cast. At the end of the night the machine was locked and voting logs and everything else was collected and put in another locked box and it was all taken by the Elections Department and carted off to where they would be counted. We never actually handled the ballots they stayed in the machine and I am not sure how they were counted at their final destination.
