WE NEED AN EMOTIONAL STRATEGY TO COUNTER THE RACIAL TACTIC USED BY THE OPPOSITION AND I THINK IT SHOULD BE SLAVERY!!!!!!!!

The racial overtones have been intentionally propagated as a diversion from any close scrutiny of the true motivation behind this issue, which is the deliberate effort by government and corporate elitists to secure a massive underclass of uneducated, low-skilled workers to create a system of legal indentured servitude, much like the Bracero Program in 1942. All for the sake of global competitiveness, especially against China!!!

* dehumanised, treated as a commodity or bought and sold as 'property';

* physically constrained or has restrictions placed on his/her freedom of movement.

What types of slavery exist today?

Bonded labour affects millions of people around the world. People become bonded labourers by taking or being tricked into taking a loan for as little as the cost of medicine for a sick child. To repay the debt, many are forced to work long hours, seven days a week, up to 365 days a year. They receive basic food and shelter as 'payment' for their work, but may never pay off the loan, which can be passed down for generations.

Early and forced marriage affects women and girls who are married without choice and are forced into lives of servitude often accompanied by physical violence.

Forced labour affects people who are illegally recruited by individuals, governments or political parties and forced to work -- usually under threat of violence or other penalties.

Slavery by descent is where people are either born into a slave class or are from a 'group' that society views as suited to being used as slave labour.

Trafficking involves the transport and/or trade of people -- women, children and men -- from one area to another for the purpose of forcing them into slavery conditions.

I have always said that if the corporations and small employers that hired the illegal immigrant was forced to pay top salaries and benefits they would not hire them and they would have to go home. This is the simplest form of self deportation I know of. I think that is anyone is caught hiring these people at lower then normal wage and no benefits they should get find. Thus ends the slavery trade. The government wants the illegal and the middle class citizen right where we are. Maybe we should join ths picket lines with the illegal and signs that say end slavery and pay these people fair wages and benefits.

This would be an interesting twist, however could backfire on us. You're right...employers wouldn't hire them if they had to pay fair wages!

Here is a prime example of what is back firing in our country right now.
Bush allowed the banks to over inflate housing, then they have ARM loans, let illegals borrow money and the same thing went on with our black poor. This is what is happening nation wide. These banks deserve exactly what they are getting and Bush again has exploited the poor and illegals.

There are reports for big expensive trucks filled to the brim of furnishings that are going back to Mexico and they owe money on these things.

Maybe we should really bust this thing wide open. Explotation of illegals has finally caught up with the corportations and banks of America. The illegal without an education is smarter then Bush. The cost of illegal immigration has just killed our economy.

When this all started I wondered what would happen when illegals began to renege on their loans, credit cards, etc. Of course this was a rhetorical question since we knew all too well exactly who would end up paying the price...in more ways than one!

Yep, if employers are forced to pay higher wages for illegals, they will want to keep those borders open for more cheap labor. This is why they want the borders open. It is their only ace in the hole. If we close the borders now, the illegals that are here will start demanding higher wages overnight and this will back the employers against the wall. Eventually those illegals will earn what we are earning and the cry for more cheap labor will go out. This is where the virtual fence will be shut off.

Exactly, Rockfish! As soon as they're given some sort of legal status, they'll immediately qualify for minimum wage and then begin demanding even higher "living" wages. And guess who'll be helping them along the way??? Yep...ACLU, NCLA, SPLC, AILA, NILC, etc., etc....job security!

I think The only businesses that want amnesty are the large corporations that have really large numbers of illegal wokers. They want amnesty because under the current laws they can be fined for each illegal worker and they have to forfeit the profit they made from the illegal activity. A corporation employing 200 illegals could be fined 12 million dollars or more and then they would have to pay to replace the workers and lose money because of the downturn in production cost. So, they could very well lose twice that amount or more. Is it easier to give the corrupt politician a few million to get amnesty passed and have their sins forgiven? Of course it is.

If the businesses were losing money on illegal immigrants you can bet this would have been shut down on day one.
