    Go Tancredo!
I can best describe Tancredo's overall platform as Conservative and Religious Right.

Please remember even if you don't agree with him on every single issue think of the bigger picture. A vote for Tancredo is a vote for preserving our country.

Agreed. I actually don't agree with him on everything, but if we don't deal with the invasion, none of the rest of it will matter anyway. IMHO, he's the one in the race who is sincere about solving the problem and will do it if elected.

Thank you for your efforts on the Hunter amendment to H.R. 3074, banning U.S. DOT funding for the "NAFTA Superhighway."

However, the "North America's SuperCorridor Coalition" does not depend upon U.S. government financing. Cintra Concesiones de Infraestructures de Transport of Spain is the primary financier, and they plan to operate it as a toll facility for the benefit of their private investors.

    On 6/26/06, Jerome Corsi wrote,
"On March 11, 2005, TxDOT signed a definitive agreement with Cintra Zachry, a limited partnership formed by Cintra Concesiones de Infraestructures de Transport in Spain and the San Antonio-based Zachry Construction Co. 'to develop the Oklahoma to Mexico/Gulf Coast element of the Trans-Texas Corridor (TTC-35).' This agreement calls for the Cintra-Zachry limited partnership to pay Texas $1.2 billion 'for the long-term right to build and operate the initial segment as a toll facility.' The initial TTC-35 segment is scheduled to be built roughly parallel to I-35 between Dallas and San Antonio."

The "North America's SuperCorridor Coalition" is not financed by the U.S. government.

    I reject your assessment.

You have no way of knowing if the so-called "working groups" are or are not being funded in part by our federal government, MinutemanCDC_SC. To claim the United States is not involved in the creation of the "NAFTA Superhighway" is wrong. We may not be building it, but "working groups" here in the U.S. are involved in this up to their eyeballs.

Our federal government hasn't exactly been forthright with the American people for some time now. With the exception of those intimately involved in the plans, I'd have to say the rest of us don't know each and every detail. I would suggest Duncan Hunter knows a lot more than you give him credit for and a whole hell of a lot more than you and I.

I commend Duncan Hunter for his efforts in attempting to cover the bases on this, and for his actions in preventing the Mexican trucks from transporting goods beyond the 25 mile zone of the border.

[quote]HUNTER NAFTA SUPER HIGHWAY AMENDMENT PASSES HOUSE

Washington, D.C. – Late last evening, Congressman Duncan Hunter (R-CA) successfully offered an amendment to H.R. 3074, the FY2008 Transportation Appropriations Act, prohibiting the use of federal funds for participation in working groups under the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP), including the creation of the NAFTA Super Highway. The Hunter amendment gained strong bipartisan support, passing the House by a vote of 362 – 63.

“The proposed NAFTA Super Highway presents significant challenges to our nation’s security, the safety of vehicle motorists, and will likely drive down wages for American workers,â€

I really think Tom's sincerity is one of the best things about him and his determination to stand up for what he believes no matter what his fellow politicians say or do.
