I'm a firm believer in attrition through enforcement. It's logical and it will work. The point is to make their life here so miserable that they will feel like they have no option but to go home. A large majority will not want to live in fear everyday of their life. Can you imagine how scary it must be to think you could be picked up and deported at any time for any reason? Of course that fear does not exist under Obama. We must have a strong entry-exit visa system like Cruz is calling for because 40% of our illegals are visa overstays. We must know who the overstays are so we can track and apprehend them for deportation. Combine that with a nationally mandated E-Verify system like Cruz is calling for (and we don't have) with tough enforcement of all our immigration laws and the illegal life will cease to be viable option of survival. Remember, Cruz is also calling for an end to all sanctuary cities and an end to all illegal immigrant benefits.
Turning into a police state for apprehension is just not sustainable because of our laws, court system, privacy issues, etc., etc. Such an event would draw the media like a fly to honey and could turn the public's perception on the issue. Our illegal alien problem didn't happen overnight and it's not going to be solved overnight."The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing" ** Edmund Burke**

Thank you once again for the thorough response.
Now, as for Trumps plan, and I am just interested in the facts, his plan is impressive as well. I have been unable to match his words about deporting "all" illegal immigrants against his plan laid out on his website. Is that to come in the future, am I missing it, has he even back-pedaled on that by omitting it on his website, what am I missing here? While I am sure it is a herculean task, he has made it clear that he will do just that.

To me, it looks like Cruz is wanting them to self-deport. Romney got slammed for saying that, so Cruz is stopping short of using the same language. I live in California in a small town right between Modesto and Stockton. Two of the biggest arm-pits in the U.S. I follow the police dept. on Facebook for both cities and 99% of murders and violent crime is from Hispanics, illegals and anchor babies. Stockton just had a gang of kids attack and rob an adult man. It seems when the police go after a lot of these criminals they flee to Mexico, only to return later. I wish someone would do an honest report on true statistics of anchor baby crime. They need to cut off the revolving door to Mexico and they need to revisit with true facts the benefit of our supporting anchor babies. This is not helping immigrant kids, it is instead enabling and creating a class of criminals that have no respect for the law or we the people.

If Cruz wants to build a wall between Canada and US, he should do it from the Canadian side. As a Canadian, which is what he is. They need him and want him more than we do.

I will not debate you on whether Cruz is eligible to be President, because I feel the phrase "natural born citizen" needs to be reviewed and clarified once and for all. But the fact is that Cruz is an American citizen, not a Canadian citizen.
Overtime there has been probably millions of Americans that became American citizens by having one parent being a U.S. citizen. Are you trying to say that they are not American citizens?
There are naturalized citizens that have never done the proper paperwork to denounce their citizenship to foreign countries. Are you saying then that they are not American citizens?

Yes I am and yes I am.
If you are not sure whether Cruz is eligible to be president, then I really don't care to discuss it with you.
If you argue birthright citizenship for those having only one US citizen parent, then what about the cases of those where the other parent is an illegal? And if you have objections there, then how are you supposed to tell if the non-US citizen parent is in the country illegally?
If a non-citizen want to have children with a US citizen and make their kids US citizens, then why doesn't the non-citizen apply for US citizenship? And if they are not eligible, how can they claim to want to raise their kids to be US citizens?
It just goes on and on like this. It is a fraud to claim that birthright citizenship belongs to anyone with only one parent a US citizen and it is a fraud to enforce laws supporting this fraud.Support ALIPAC'sFIGHT AGAINST illegal immigration & Amnesty by joining our E-mail Alerts at http://eepurl.com/cktGTn

I was not debating whether Cruz was a "natural born citizen". I was questioning why you did not consider him an American. The other was asking you your opinion on what made an US citizen. Am I right that you think that if a person does not properly denounce their citizenship with their foreign country of birth and is still considered a citizen by that country (dual citizenship) that they are not an US citizen and that their descendents should not be considered "natural born US citizens"?

What I want to know about Cruz is if he has the balls to do these things alone as he would have the power as President to force them through.
1. Mandatory E-Verify which should be enhanced through SSA checking for multiple uses of the same SSN which can trigger an alert to overly used SSN's.
2. Revoke business licenses, massive fines, and prison time for business's caught hiring illegal aliens.
3. By Executive Order stop the abuse of the 14th Amendment by citing its intent was never to be for the benefit of illegal aliens or tourists. Of course it would get challenged but w/o Congress taking up the issue only the SCOTUS could revoke the EO which would require that they hear the case.
4. Remove free education from illegal aliens and their children citing the very same SCOTUS case that gave them free education that it now poses a serious financial burden on the country reversing the SCOTUS's decision through their own words.
5. Build a proper wall, need help doing it? The best trained men and women for the job are already paid for. The US Army Engineer Corp.
6. Enforce the laws to their absolute fullest. Illegal alien gets caught they get deported, no ifs, and's, or but's.
7. Establish a proper Entry/Exit system for all travelers to the US.
8. Fix the entire ID system requiring ONLY US Citizens and legal immigrants can get any form of government ID. Even tourists, temp visitors, illegal aliens, wouldn't be able to get any form of government ID be it city, state, or federal.
9. With #8 require to register to vote proof of citizenship is required and to get any form of government ID proof of citizenship or immigration papers.
I don't see Cruz doing anything beyond the wall, deporting the criminals caught, and trying to get Congress to fix the 14th and go after employers. Things that won't get past Congress more then likely.
